I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and was raised here my entire life. I'm 24 years old and I work for a mortgage company.

I grew up skateboarding actually and didn't really get into cars until I got my license. I still skateboard here and there to this day, but that hobby has now been replaced with cars. Originally playing with hot wheels and playing around in my dad's red Nissan Twin Turbo 300ZX. Growing up I always wanted it for when I was able to drive and fell in love with the red paint. That is probably what made me love red cars and chose this Focus ST. I always loved looking at the older Japanese classic cars growing up, and playing midnight club definitely helped my passion for cars. I'm more so into the lowered, stance scene because all the cars catch everyone's attention.

When I turned 16, my father originally bought me a 2011 Nissan Altima SL. It was decked out, heated leather seats, sunroof, aux and Bluetooth. Everything a 16-year-old could ask for, especially when I was driving my friends everywhere. I drove that car all the way to Chicago! Then, I moved out of my father's place and decided to buy a car on my own. I was looking around and found a red, manual 2017 Nissan 370z. I went to go check out the car that day and intended on buying it the same day. Well, when I got there the car was gone and apparently someone had bought it a couple of hours earlier. I was bummed of course- so I walked around the dealership and saw a red Ford Focus ST that was cheaper than the 370z. Ford makes this really beautiful Race Red for their cars and it's so radiant, in person and in pictures.

The test drive for this car really sold me. As soon as I punched it on the gas, it pushed me to the back of my seat. I was sold. The Recaro seats hold me tight in my place and it takes corners like a champ. It definitely is a drivers car and people use it for track days all the time. It was so quick and zippy- until I blew my motor. Cylinder 3 lost compression at around 70k miles. I will admit- it was my fault. I didn't do regular oil changes, I beat on the car, and I just didn't take care of her.

The car sat in the garage for a whole year slowly taking it apart. Now, I'm hard-headed. I like to do all the work myself. I will ask my buddies for help, but I don't really like shops doing work on my car unless they are really reputable. After blowing my engine and seeing my car just sit in the garage, I lost all motivation to even work on it.

A couple of months later, I have a new motor from a Ford Fusion with 37k miles on it. Two months right after that, I had my baby back on the road. I really missed driving the Focus. It felt nice to be back in those seats and hearing the turbo flutter.

With that said- the current parts and modifications done to the car are:

  • Cobb rear motor mounts
  • Cobb accessport/tune
  • Catless downpipe
  • Airlift performance bags and management
  • Aux Fuel
  • Massive Camber arms
  • Massive extended Tie rods
  • Short throw shifter plate and bushing
  • Stage 2 SPEC clutch

My car isn't perfect in any way- it's not built for looks or for performance. I honestly built it with my own time and money and haven't paid a shop to do any labour. This car is special to me because I know how to work it inside- and out. My current goals for this car is to get it show-car ready. I want to be proud of the car and not have any imperfections. It may look good in photos but every car has its own defects and blemishes. That has always bothered me, so I'm slowly working on replacing things if needed to make it as beautiful as possible. I'm planning on keeping this car as long as possible.
