I work as a body repair guy in a small body shop in Derbyshire.

What got me into the car scene was collecting hot wheels as a kid and going to different shows. We went to my mates 66 VW Beetle to dub freeze and ever since then I wanted a beetle, mine is a 73 VW Beetle.

The beetle was my first car and I've never changed it. I got the beetle because it brings enjoyment and it has its advantages (even if it sometimes brakes down) but she's a 47 year old car that is air cooled. The car is off the road at the moment as she's having some repairs done. The bhp is around 40, it's not a lot but it's a 1300 engine and 0 to 60 is eventually haha.

I've still got plans to change the look about a bit, not a lot just got to add details and accessories to it some of the work I've done myself. It's mostly me and my mates on a weekend with some beers working on the bug.

Before I got the bug she use to be owned by a woman who fell pregnant and had to sell her and I wanted a VW Beetle and luckily enough this one came up for sale round the corner from me so didn't have to travel far We got the car back and we started to take the filler out which revealed rot holes in the car, that's where my idea to go rat look came from and that's how she stands today.

I've been to a couple of shows but mostly dub freeze and skegvegas vw show, I've been to a couple others but I've not been in my car. I do enter some competitions on Facebook to win like stickers or cover photos and have won a couple.

My favourite car (well dream car) has to be the 69 dodge charger, it all started with me watching the dukes of hazzards and my love for them has grown. My other dream car is a 66 dodge charger, the body likes are just amazing on them that's all there is to say really haha.
