I’m Harris, 22 from Warrington and currently serving in the British army and I drive an Audi A3 Saloon 1.4TFSI

I have always been into cars since I was a young lad; watching WRC highlights on the TV after school. This passion has grown with me especially when I was able to drive. 

I have owned 3 cars; my first being a Vauxhall Corsa D 1.3 CDTI. This car was short-lived, and I wrote it off after 6 months, pulling out of the junction and a hooligan wrote my front end off. Secondly, I owned a Volvo C30 1.6D. I have always had a soft spot for the C30, and I wanted a T5 (2.5litre 5cylinder petrol) but there was no chance of me getting insured on one. So I stuck with the 1.6d and decided to modify it. 

Had it for 3 years and after spending copious amounts of money repairing it, I decided I needed something more reliable and quick. But still sensible for the miles I cover up and down the country to work. 

This brings us to my current car, an Audi A3 Saloon 1.4TFSI. 

The car is currently stock engine power making 150bhp out of a 4 cylinder petrol engine and a 7 speed DSG Gearbox. The car has been modded, but only aesthetically. With carbon Mirror covers and spoiler from Ultimate Customs, along with dynamic indicators and paddle extensions and few other bits; like a honeycomb grille and a splitter from Maxton Design

Front and rear lights have been tinted, along with a sunstrip to complete the look. Most of the mods have been fitted by me and my father in law, (owner of @stanceautomag) or with the owner of Ultimate Customs. I am also running a custom CatBack exhaust system fabricated at Danmar Exhaust in Wigan. 

I have more plans to customise the car, with an MST intake and Stage 1 map taking the car to just under 200bhp. 

The reason I went for the A3 and not the S3 is I am a soon to be a dad and need something safe and sensible. As well as still having my fun in it, keeping costs to a low. I also plan on lowering the car just 30mm to give better fitment and maybe an alloy change, if you have any suggestions for me feel free to drop them down in the comments!

My dream car is, and always will be, a Subaru Impreza Cosworth 400. Such a unique and beautiful car running 400bhp from the shop floor. But I also would love to own an RS3 as after driving an Audi, you feel a part of the driving experience.


I'm also CO-OWNER of @StealthAutomotive.uk and have big plans for the brand in the car scene, we go to local events at 3 sisters circuits and hope to attend much bigger events across the UK in the future working alongside Stanceautomag.
