Adam Goły - 1999 Honda Accord Coupe CG2

CG2 was one of the Hondas I always dreamed of, it's not a legendary model or a turbo rare model, but it’s hard to get one- it was manufactured mostly for the US market. But I love those shapes, the NSX-like back, the interior. The 3.0 V6 engine has a lovely sound.

I live in Zabrze, Poland. I’m 35 years old, married and have a 6-year-old daughter. As a graphic designer, I’m running my own business- Enude and making all possible forms of advertisements. Tuning cars is more than a passion for me, it’s a lifestyle, and I do that for about 15 years.

What or who got you into Cars?

I have been interested in the tuning scene for a long time as I was visiting my family in Germany years ago, and there was already a lot of nice German-style, low cars. After that, of course, NFSU2 kicked in, after a few years of driving a civic coupe in that game finally I bought my first Honda. In the end, the main trouble maker – F&F 1st episode and Tokyo Drift, let’s be honest- who wasn’t fascinated about those cars and racing.

Why this Car?

CG2 was one of the Hondas I always dreamed of, it's not a legendary model or a turbo rare model, but it’s hard to get one- it was manufactured mostly for the US market. But I love those shapes, the NSX-like back, the interior. The 3.0 V6 engine has a lovely sound.

Why did you build this Car?

Almost no one is using this model as a project base, so I had a chance to make something really fresh on the PL / EU or even the world scene. I always wanted to have a car that no one has and which could be really rare seen at the events. Since this was pretty regular, but looking differently accord, which was also the reason that barely anyone was shipping it to the EU, it was the way to go and try to do some commotion.

What does it feel like to own your car?

It feels awesome because im driving an old Honda that has no value and its price is comparable to a used set of wheels now but I love when people are watching it with astonishment as it was a Ferrari or something like that, the greatest thing is that I made it here from a not good looking base. Now that’s some really interesting car, as much as it was standing in front of the scene on Ultrace21,  next to the top projects from all over Europe. It's not the next M3 there, but the one and only Accord Coupe that you won't see anywhere. So dreams come true when you give them some time and love.

Advice/Tips?

Always think about what you want to get, to do, to obtain. Never stop thinking about your dreams and if you won't make them a reality, never go the easy path, always make high standards and quality, make it slow but perfect. Don’t always follow the trends, make something that will make your car your own. Keep it simple and classy, often less is more.

What do you think makes your car Unique?

The model is unique, you just can't find  Accord like this one so easy. Im trying to make a lot of custom and handmade mods, like my ducktail, side skirts, diffuser and many more. Huge camber is also a thing you won’t see that often and wasn’t easy to make- on the back I have 10 custom adjustable rocker arms to tuck 10,5J ET 1 rims. So it really could be called Custom Accord

Who did the work?

Most of the interior/exterior custom work was done by me, but as I don’t have a workshop, or every skill needed there are some companies that help me with mostly the mechanical side of works to make those things inside my head a reality. AirRide and cambers were done by AirRiders.pl

Brakes beautifully restored by ProPerformance, and

R Clinic with Chemotion cosmetics is responsible for making the car shine.

Future Plans:

At the moment my friends from Felgengarage are making the new set of wheels, based on RAYS Optimise Gram Lights- they already cut them and we are making it 3tlg, so the lady is getting new shoes. And I’ll focus on some minor details, there won’t be a massive makeover, it’s almost in final form.

Groups/Clubs

I was in Raceism team (which changed the name to @Ultrace now) from the beginning and till now I feel a part of it. I’m proud of having Ultrace logo on my car and visiting the events every year.

What do you get from the car scene?

It’s a lot of fun, excitement, reason to finish all my plans and the main thing is a lot of awesome people that I met. And of course an empty wallet ;)

What's your dream car?

Skyline R33 GTR – every year the dream is not getting even closer, it’s running away all the time.
