A Lifelong Passion Ignited

Michael's love for cars began at a young age in Slovakia. Every car model held a fascination for him, especially modified ones. The sound of an approaching engine would have him glued to the window, eager to identify the make and model. Arriving in the UK at 10 further fueled his passion for the diverse car scene.

From First Car to Dream Machine

His automotive journey began with a yellow Micra, followed by an Ibiza FR and a Mk7 Golf (tragically written off). While searching for a new car, a stunning E90 caught his eye.  He envisioned a unique creation and took the plunge, purchasing the car that same evening. It marked the beginning of a remarkable transformation.

The build garnered global attention on social media, drawing car enthusiasts from the USA, Japan, Eastern Europe, and beyond. This online community became a source of support and friendship, connecting Michael with like-minded individuals across the globe.

The journey has primarily focused on visual enhancements, with future plans promising significant performance upgrades.

A Love Affair with 2011 BMW E90 LCI 

Michael's initial dislike for BMWs transformed upon encountering the E90. Researching the modifications enthusiasts performed on these cars ignited a passion for the brand.

The customization began subtly, with window tinting – a popular first modification for many car enthusiasts.  He then added a custom 3" exhaust with twin exits, followed by an aftermarket diffuser and stylish AV1 alloy wheels.

Next came a Stage 1+ engine remap for a power boost.  Dual cold air intakes were strategically positioned by the fog lights for improved airflow. The paint received a thorough correction and a stunning Stage 2 polish to bring out its shine.  An aftermarket cone filter enhanced the car's sound without significant performance gains.

My Car, My Reflection: Embracing Individuality

"What makes a car unique is how you modify it to reflect your taste," Michael explains. He views a car as a personal statement, judging people to some extent by their car choices and the level of customization. While his taste might not resonate with everyone, he appreciates all feedback, both positive and negative. Cruising in his customized E90 and witnessing people's reactions brings him immense satisfaction. It's a feeling of accomplishment, mirroring his childhood experience of admiring other enthusiasts' cars.

While not a mechanic himself, Michael has a valuable network of petrolhead friends.  These trusted companions assisted with various aspects of the build, from exhaust fabrication and engine modifications to wheel installation and routine maintenance.

The Road Ahead: A Future Steeped in Performance

When the current engine eventually needs replacing, Michael has his sights set on an M57 engine swap. This would mark the beginning of a whole new chapter in his car's evolution. For now, he cherishes the current state of his pride and joy.
