For fourteen years, the Filipino Fiesta Car Show has remained one of Northern California's most anticipated automotive gatherings. More than just a car show, it has become a celebration of culture, family, friendship, and the passion that continues to bring the automotive community together year after year.
Hosted by Team Love/Hate and Team Stay Humble, the 2026 event once again drew enthusiasts from across Sacramento, Northern California, the Bay Area, and even neighbouring Nevada. Builders arrived early, polished their vehicles to perfection, and lined up with hopes of taking home a trophy by the end of the day.
But as anyone who has attended this event knows, the awards are only part of the experience.
What Makes Filipino Fiesta Different
From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed by the aroma of incredible food, the sounds of laughter and conversation, and rows upon rows of vehicles representing every corner of automotive culture. Imports, domestics, trucks, lowriders, classics, VIP builds, and modern show cars all share the same space, creating an environment where everyone feels at home.
The event's roots are deeply connected to Filipino culture, but over the years it has evolved into something much larger — a family-centred gathering that welcomes enthusiasts from every background. It's a place where old friendships are renewed, new connections are made, and multiple generations can enjoy the hobby together.
For many attendees, that's exactly what keeps them coming back.
The Road to SEMA
This year's Filipino Fiesta Car Show added an extra layer of excitement thanks to a unique opportunity from Stance Auto Magazine and RDM Builds. One standout vehicle would earn a featured spot at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas — giving builders a chance to showcase their hard work on one of the automotive industry's biggest stages.
The competition was fierce.
The Stance Auto Car Club, the official car club of Stance Auto Magazine, arrived with an impressive lineup that immediately drew attention throughout the showgrounds. But they certainly weren't the only contenders. The overall quality of vehicles at this year's event was exceptional — every row featured builders who had invested years of dedication, countless late nights, and significant personal sacrifice into their projects.
Walking through the show, it was impossible not to notice the sheer amount of talent present throughout Northern California's automotive community. Every vehicle told a different story. Some were built for performance, others focused entirely on aesthetics, and many sought the perfect balance between both. Each one reflected the owner's personality, vision, and creativity.
Every Build Has a Story
For photographers, those details are often what stand out most. Look beyond the paint, the wheels, the engine modifications, and you start to see the individuality behind every build. The colours chosen, the fabrication work, the interior details, the overall presentation — it all reveals something about the person behind the vehicle. No two cars are exactly alike, and that's what makes events like Filipino Fiesta so rewarding to document.
Of course, building a high-level show car doesn't happen overnight. Every impressive build on display represented countless hours of work, planning, sacrifice, and patience. As many builders will tell you — you have to pay to play. It takes time. It takes dedication. It takes money. And most importantly, it takes patience.
But events like Filipino Fiesta remind you why it's all worth it. Whether attendees arrived to chase trophies, support friends, showcase their latest modifications, or simply spend the day with family and fellow enthusiasts, everyone left with new memories and a renewed appreciation for the community that keeps bringing people together.
For me personally, Filipino Fiesta remains one of the highlights of the show season. The combination of culture, family, incredible food, outstanding builds, and genuine community spirit creates an atmosphere that very few events can replicate.
From the Organisers — Ro's Perspective
One of the driving forces behind this year's event was Rowell "Ro" Esquejo of Team Stay Humble, who has experienced Filipino Fiesta from both sides of the show field.
"Filipino Fiesta is near and dear to me. I've been attending the show since 2014 as a competitor for ten years, and now for the last two years I've had the honour of helping host the show alongside Team Love Hate."
For Ro, the event is much more than a car show. It's an opportunity to represent both his team and his culture while helping create an experience that others can enjoy.
"I got to represent my Team Stay Humble as well as my culture."
As the event date approached, the workload intensified dramatically. The behind-the-scenes effort that most attendees never see is considerable — and this year was no different.
"The show went very well in my opinion. There were a lot of top-tier cars and many cool cars that aren't commonly seen. It was great seeing old and new faces while making new friends."
"The car show was tough. My wife and I spent late nights organising registrations. We went from around 60 registered cars to over 160 cars in just a matter of days."
Those long nights proved worthwhile. "The long hours put in by myself, my wife, and Mr. Filipino Fiesta himself, Jazel, were worth it."
And when asked whether he would do it all again?
"Absolutely."
More Than Just Cars
For Ro, the Filipino Fiesta Car Show represents something far larger than awards or vehicle displays.
"It gives a sense of purpose and joy knowing I can stay connected to my culture and my roots while allowing everyone to enjoy the experience."
That message perfectly reflects what Filipino Fiesta has become over fourteen years. It's not just about the cars. It's about the people. It's about family. It's about culture. It's about community.
As Ro puts it:
"It's always more than just about the cars. It's about the people and the culture."
