I’ve been into cars since I was just a kid, cutting out pictures of dealership catalogues and lowering them (before photoshop was invented), once I was able to drive I started to work on my own cars. One of my first cars was a 1976 Mercury Capri with a Hurst Shifter dual carburettor and a whale tail. My other one was a 1990 Honda Civic SI with a full Mugen kit a Racing Hart Tracers. It was turbocharged until I swapped the motor to a B17A motor.

I’ve been in the industry since 1984 I used to work on VW‘s back in the days the notchback, square backs fastbacks. I started working for a lot of aftermarket automotive shops. I was always into Lowrider magazines, and I saw that there was a void in the industry that didn’t cover import vehicles at the time and at this time import cars were just coming out Hondas, Toyotas, and I was always fascinated by the Lorideta culture and realize that the import scene had its own culture. I slowly realized that we needed to do a magazine that covered the import scene with import models this was started back in 94 when the import show off just started and we brought out a couple of girls with our names on their shirts that we provided thus began the import models.

It started off as a free magazine but slowly grew into something more where we had to put a price tag of a dollar on it because people weren’t getting a copy every time we would drop it off at different automotive shops. After a couple of years in the scene, we started growing and decided to create a full caller perfect-bound magazine that catered more towing towards higher exotics and nationally distributed magazines.

In our first magazine, we had the owners son that owns Sriracha in front of his house with his single turbo supra we also had Patricia Ford on the front cover as well in the newer magazines that were nationally distributed we had people such as Cindy Margolis, Karen McDougal on the cover of the magazine. I have also built numerous vehicles that I’ve been seeing that have taken awards for Best Audi best Mercedes.

I’ve also started other businesses creating Bodykits called V.I.P. Edition I had also started a business called Tire graphix creating white wall letterings for the tires. Right now I have an APPAREL line called @RONIN_lifestyle_wear  and I’ve been featured in another magazine in Japan with numerous vehicles of mine.

Why did I choose this car I’ve always dreamed of owning a Lamborghini and it’s one of my favourites. I’ve built other vehicles that had made an impact in the scene such as one of the first Widebody Mercedes CLK in the U.S.A  that has been in SEMA. An Audi All Road A4 went viral when I installed an awning onto the very first passenger vehicle. Wanted some shade during the car shows and no one else was doing it. So I did it!

A lot of people come to me and ask why RONIN and what's the meaning?

A rōnin (浪人) was a samurai with no lord or master during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the death or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master's favour or privilege.

A lot of this build reflected a lot of what I was going through with the loss of my father, losing focus of my path. But building this gave me a vision that I was once lost, and so Thank you to all my sponsors who believed in my vision and gave me back what I once lost.

I decided to customize a Lamborghini because I didn’t want it to look like a rental or a lease I wanted to make it my own, add my own signature look to it I’ve had a rendering on my phone for five years on my screensaver and I made it come to reality. Owning this car is cheaper than therapy when I’m feeling bad or down you just take it out go for a drive and basically it takes every problem away from you your head there’s nothing like the feeling of driving this car on an open highway.

• It is running an AirLift management system with D2 Racing struts. 
• Windshield protection by EXO Shield. 
• SlipLo protects the front splitter. 
• Orafol wrap provided the wrap material and I designed the camo pattern for the vehicle.
• Wraps by SF Did the installation for the wrap. 
• Maintenance is done by Kormotiv. 
• Exhaust system by IPE.

Advice/tips

My advice to anybody that has a dream is never stop dreaming you could achieve that dream if you just commit to it

My car is unique, this is the very first LibertyWalk Silhouette GT kit in the US that was installed on to this kind of car, although everything else is stock, well why change the engine and interior when its a Lamborghini, ha.

All the work was done by @LTMW in El Monte, CA, I think it's safe to say they knocked out of the park and really made it stand out. Future plans for this vehicle is to do a TwinTurbo

I love going to car shows and events and showing my car off, answering questions and maybe giving some worthy advice if I can. What I really like about the car scene is the young enthusiast at the car shows, enjoying the cars that we put out there for them to keep dreaming of and hopefully, that dream will come true.

It’s hard to say what’s my dream car because I own it and if it had to be with something else I would say the Koneggsigg!
