1994 Toyota Supra MK4 Targa - A JDM Sports Car Icon

Hi, I'm Mateusz, born in Krakow, Poland, in 1992. I grew up in my hometown, nurturing big dreams which, I believe, have recently come true. My passion for the automotive culture dates back to my earliest years, and years of dedication and hard work have enabled me to achieve most of my car-related goals.

Although I hail from Poland, I've been living in the UK for the past 11 years, immersing myself in both Polish and English car scenes and cultures. This experience has provided me with valuable insights that I've applied to elevate my car build to new heights.

My Journey into Cars and the Scene:

My love affair with cars began in childhood when my grandpa used to take me to the local second-hand car dealership during our walks. I could spend hours there, inspecting cars, memorizing their names, studying dashboards, and checking top speeds on the speedometers. Those moments ignited my fascination with cars. I devoured car magazines at home, dreaming of owning a red Ferrari, with the F355 being my ultimate dream car back then.

As I grew up, I became obsessed with car video games like Need for Speed Underground, which fueled my passion for modified cars. My friends and I started attending the local Tuning Show, taking pictures with old-school tape cameras. The Fast and Furious movie saga further stoked our desire to own cars like those featured in the films. All of these experiences shaped my journey into the world of cars.

Why I Chose My Car and Customized It:

After owning and extensively modifying my previous car, a 2004 Honda Civic EP, I reached a point where it was nearly visually complete. However, the next logical step was to turbocharge my k24a2 Frankenstein K series engine, which was producing 270hp at the time.

Faced with the choice of selling it and buying something rear-wheel drive or investing more in my Civic, I had a revelation when I drove my friend Maciek's modified Skyline R33 Gtst. I knew there was no turning back. I sold the Honda and quickly found a JDM Supra with a Targa top in excellent condition. It was a dream come true to own a car featured in the Fast and Furious movie series.

My Customization Plan:

My inspiration came from Max Orido's legendary Ridox Supra, which I had seen flying through Japanese Touge courses in Hot Version videos on YouTube. I was determined to build my Supra following Max's style but with my unique twist. The goal was to create a car that looked great, performed well, and was built to the highest standards seen on the internet and in magazines worldwide.

What It's Like Owning This Car:

Owning a car like this is a unique challenge. It's a static car with added air cups, providing convenience during parking and speed bumps. However, you need to be exceptionally cautious. Those who own low and static cars understand the fun it brings. A static car always looks fantastic while driving, unlike some bagged cars that lose their appeal on the road. However, it comes with the inevitable challenge of scraping the undercarriage.

Despite the pros and cons, the satisfaction of cruising in such a project car, the positive reactions from onlookers, the sounds of the turbocharger, and the freedom of dropping the Targa top make it an extraordinary experience.

What Makes My Car Unique:

Several unique aspects set my car apart. Firstly, it features a full genuine Ridox widebody kit in carbon fiber, which was challenging to acquire. Secondly, it boasts an ultra-rare Max Orido racing Ridox titanium exhaust system, one of only a few ever made. The wheels are famous Nismo LMGT2 with impressive width, necessitating a custom suspension system. The car's color is a Mazda 46g multi-layer paint, creating a stunning and ever-changing appearance. The burned titanium bolts, custom interior stitching, BBK, and engine bay accents complement the overall aesthetic. The goal was to create a harmonious and natural look.
