Oscar Wilkins is 35 years old, a NorCal native, and a full-time lineman—the kind climbing poles and running heavy equipment. For him, this 1994 Toyota Supra MK4 isn't just another JDM project. It's the crown jewel of his collection. And ironically? It wasn't even the car he was originally shopping for.

From Need for Speed to the Real Thing

Oscar didn't grow up wrenching. He didn't come from a garage full of builds. His passion began where many of ours did—sitting in front of a screen playing Need for Speed. The cars, the sound, the chase—that planted the seed.

His first car was a 2004 Subaru Outback LL Bean Edition—practical, reliable, and loved. But the real shift occurred when he purchased a 2007 Nissan 350Z. That Z became his first serious build: automatic-to-manual swap, widebody, full bolt-ons, tuned. It was hands-on experience that laid the groundwork for everything that followed.

The One That Chose Him

Oscar was actually hunting for a Mitsubishi Evo IX. Then Facebook Marketplace did what Facebook Marketplace does—it showed him something better.

A Midnight Purple RHD 1994 Supra popped up. Manual. Right-hand drive. 2JZ-powered.

Game over.

Oscar says driving the Supra feels like being transported back to the late '90s and early 2000s. And honestly, that makes sense.

The MK4 Supra defined an era. From street legends to big-screen fame, it became one of the most recognizable Japanese performance cars ever built.

"When I take it out, it gets a lot of attention. Maybe because I'm driving on the wrong side… or maybe people just know what it is."

Oscar rode solo for a while before linking up with Donnie Rochin and joining the Stance Auto Club.

"It's brought me new friends and helped me learn a lot about cars."

That's what this scene is supposed to do—not just flex builds, but build relationships.

Dream Car

1991 Lamborghini Diablo 30th Anniversary finished in Viola Purple.

Honestly? That tracks perfectly with the Midnight Purple Supra. Purple royalty only.

Final Thoughts
