“Building race cars isn’t a crime!” ~ Todd Budde

I am originally from Denver, Colorado transplanted to Texas 21 years ago. Currently in my 4th life career. I started in the Marines, worked in the sign business for many years where I learned sheet metal working, paint and fabrication and was even a neon tube bender for many years. I worked in Oil and Gas for another 10-plus years. About 18 months ago I took my side gig of building and fabricating full-time. Now I operate F3 Motorsports in LaVernia, Texas.

I have been into cars probably all 51 years I have been alive. Baby photos of me sitting in my dad's asphaut super modified. There has ALWAYS been something off the wall kicking around in my workshops.

I have always wanted to build a rotary-powered car. I had been to SEMA with a few of my builds and got bit by the Battle of The Builders competition. I knew I would have to build something COMPLETELY out there to get the attention. What better way to do that than an absolutely one-of-a-kind build? I'm always up for the big challenges and at the time this was one that tested every skill I had. My first car was a ‘69 MGB convertible. I have probably had 100+ cars to date with just about every single one of them getting a mild to wild transformation.

This car is hard not to notice. It has a very unique look to it and an even more unique sound. It is awesome to drive around and usually have someone following me to the destination to ask 101 questions. If it's at a show just a start and idle draws a crowd. My favorite part is to see someone come back around to look at it multiple times. They cannot get it all in one go around the car.

Something I always tell other builders is to be you, build it for you. As long as you're out there modding and putting something roadworthy together. Enjoy it!

If I'm asked what makes my car unique….Hmm.. 4 rotor. All Wheel Drive. Gated Shifter. Twin Turbo. hand-made steel wide body.
