VW Scirocco 2.0 tdi

Hi, my name is Dan Nelson

The Volkswagen Scirocco has been the German brand’s sportiest looking model since its debut in 2008. The low-slung two-door coupe still looks good despite its advancing years, and Volkswagen offers a variety of engine and power options to suit a broad range of tastes and budgets. Its compact interior provides a 2+2 seating arrangement along with a small boot. Depending on your preference you can have your Scirocco with a frugal diesel or a more potent 280hp petrol engine.

The Scirocco has plenty of rivals that deliver far more involving and thrilling driving experiences, even from within the Volkswagen Group. The more conventional-looking Volkswagen Golf R trumps it in the performance stakes, and the Scirocco lacks the heightened sense of involvement offered by the Golf GTI Clubsport. But what the Scirocco lacks in outright handling and performance it makes up for in style, still looking every bit as good today as it did when first launched. Rear passengers might not enjoy the cosy feeling in the back, but this isn’t a family car; it’s for those who want to stand out from the crowd and be noticed.

BHP = 220bhp(ish) - 230bhp(ish) need to get custom map done.

0-60 = no idea has never done one.

So where to start, I bought this Scirocco as standard back in 2017 and slammed it on coilovers within 24hrs and some new 19inch staggered Stuttgart ST9s.

I then got bored so started doing small mods like black badges and wrapping interior parts changing bulbs and playing around with coding customizations on carista.

I then met a club called South West Dubberz and saw a couple of cars on Bags and instantly fell in love so ordered airlift 3p slam series for the Rocco.. one overnighter and a few friends with pizzas and ciders later and the car was bagged.

I took the car to Longlife and they sorted me with a fully customed turbo back exhaust with DPF delete. It then went to Turners Garage in Weston-super-Mare who sorted me out with a remap and EGR blank.

And that was it for a while till the old girl got sponsored by 'Profect 2 Clean' so had a proper good mop and ceramic coating with max protects UNCR-pro elite.

Then several weeks ago I was getting bored and ordered a facelift R front end conversion. I spoke to a friend of mine who offered to sponsor me and wrap the car with some mad colours and vinyl. And wow @swd_design_and_print did his magic and this is her now.

Don't forget to check out the sponsors as they have made the car the special motor she is.
