The event also had an international flair, with members of the RACEWORZ team from Norway bringing their drift car all the way to Sonoma.

“It went great because of how significant the event was and how much was happening simultaneously. Each time we do an event, we learn more and encounter new things, even after doing this for 11 years. We should always strive to improve the experience for our patrons year after year.”

Event Highlights: From Car Limbo to Drag Racing

Picking a favorite part of RACEWORZ is no easy task, given the sheer variety of activities and attractions. From Hector (of Fast and Furious fame) cruising through the car limbo on a scooter to the thrilling drifting exhibition managed by drift director Faruk Kugay, there was no shortage of standout moments. However, if one event stole the show this year, it was the drag racing.

According to Matt:

“If I had to choose just one this year, drag racing saw a significant increase in some fantastic cars and incredible grudge matches, and some of the biggest names in drag racing were present. The starting line had a massive crowd all day long. And despite a couple of crashes and oil downs, our drag racers were extraordinarily patient and understanding and represented the drag race community with outstanding sportsmanship and passion.”

The drag racing event was a true spectacle, drawing massive crowds and featuring some of the most exciting grudge matches in recent memory. The participants’ sportsmanship and passion were on full display, proving that RACEWORZ is as much about community as it is about competition.
