My Name Is Eldwin Dodson, I'm 65 years young and I'm a massive car enthusiast from the US. My career, I have been in Micro Electronic Development for over 40 years.

My passion for cars started as a young boy, in 1968, building model cars. I remember winning my first car model show at a local hobby shop with a Pontiac Firebird model. All the engine parts were individually painted and detailed, including using thread for the spark plug wires and battery cables. Everyone at the hobby shop was very impressed as they hadn't seen this kind of detail on a model car before. I won first prize for my models for the next three years. This is where my love for cars and my creative imagination started to develop.

When I was 15 years old, I built my first car which was a 67 Ford Mustang Fastback and I had it running and ready for my license by age 16. Over the years I have owned 28 vehicles, three more Mustangs to every type of muscle car you can imagine; Camaro, Chevelle Mustang, and Plymouth Cuda. I have also had the experience of completing a couple of frame-off restorations.

Twenty years ago, I became interested in imports. Although I love many different types, makes, and models of cars, the one import that is my favourite is the Audi TT. It provides ample legroom as a driver, handles well and has great acceleration. I have owned two Audi TTs in my lifetime. The first one was an Audi Roadster MK1. The second one is the 2009 Audi TT that I have owned now for five years.

As I am nearing retirement, modifying and showing my 2009 Audi TT is my true passion.  I look forward to continuing to show my Audi TT up and down the East Coast of the United States. I think my car is very unique, the yellow wrap with black wheels and carbon fibre trim definitely stands out in the crowd. There are many modifications that can be done on these cars, but whether highly modified or completely stock, an Audi TT is a joy to drive!

I have enjoyed sharing my story of passion for automobiles,

Did you know?

The Audi TT takes its name from the successful motor racing tradition of NSU in the British Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) motorcycle race. NSU marque began competing at the Isle of Man TT in 1907 with the UK manager Martin Geiger finishing in the fifth position in the single-cylinder race.

The 1938 Isle of Man Lightweight TT race was won by Ewald Kluge with a 250 cc supercharged DKW motorcycle and the DKW and NSU companies later merged into the company now known as Audi. The Audi TT also follows the NSU 1000TT, 1200TT and TTS cars of the 1960s in taking their names from the race.[citation needed] The TT name has also been attributed to the phrase "Technology & Tradition".
