Hi, I'm James knaggs,

I’m 29, an hgv/agricultural driver, general outgoing lad who likes to meet new friends with similar interests.

I got into the car scene from a young age, growing up on a farm we always got end of life/no MOT type cars to tinker around with and rally round the fields in, the hobby grew from there and been tinkering around with cars since

This car is my 8th car gradually building up to get this car gradually buying cars a little bit more expensive than the previous one to build a nice budget to keep improving

My very first on the road car was a mk1 1.3 ford ka, it was in this horrible blue/purple colour, well that car only lasted 9days when I got a bit to clever and ran out of talent on a corner in the wet and ended up in a ditch, that was the end of that one

I currently drive a 2017 Ford Mustang 5.0 V8 GT 435bhp 400 ft-lbs torque 0-60 3.9s limited to 155mph (for now)

I have only had the car for a few month so is still currently in its standard state, so far from finished, future plans do include full exhaust system, coilovers/lowering springs, 25mm wheel spacers, air intake, a remap, windows tinted, and possibly few more cosmetic changes just whatever tickles my fancy at the time I tend to impulse buy

As stated the car is still standard but when work does commence I will be doing some of the work myself and for the more trickier things I will be sourcing recommend people to do the work, not just any back street garage

I am part of a few groups such as fordmeet, simply mustangs uk, mustangs unleashed and many local multi car groups around the local area

I don’t get to go to many shows due to work commitments but do try my best to attend when I can, it’s a case of if I’m not working I’ll come along but won’t know till the day or a couple of days beforehand, I just like to go along and have a good laugh with friends meet new friends and sometimes get inspiration/ideas for my car off seeing what other fellow enthusiasts are doing at the time and talking to them and getting advice along the way (I’m a strong believer in if your stuck always ask)

I don’t really enter any car competitions I do it just for the fun, I do my car to my taste and no one else’s, some people like it others don’t but as long as I’m happy is all that matters

My dream car is probably the mustang, I had talked about getting one for a long time and having previously owned a couple of Ford Focus ST’s in the past I’d set myself up some good resale values to fund the mustang and one day I just went and bought it without even seeing the car beforehand, it was a big risk to me but I’m really glad I did it and loved it since the day I brought it home
