A Prime Location for an Exclusive Event

"Just Vibes" made its stunning debut on November 16, 2024, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). The venue? An exclusive DTLA garage, a choice spot for its clean alleyways, dramatic lighting, and proximity to the iconic 6th Street Bridge. This wasn’t just a car show—it was a vibe, a fusion of elite automotive culture, music, and art.

The event’s invite-only policy ensured that the crème de la crème of car culture participated, featuring top contenders and award-winning builds. Each car displayed was a masterpiece, making the competition as thrilling as it was intense.

Automotive Masterpieces Take Center Stage

The highlight of the evening? A jaw-dropping 1969 Kingswood Wagon, expertly built by Angel IG: @Olskooler & @Nasty_Habits_69, which claimed the prestigious Best of Show title. Deciding the winner wasn’t easy—it came down to a three-way tie between Angel’s wagon and two other remarkable builds.

Jeff, the event's mastermind, joined forces with Alec, a seasoned judge, and me for a meticulous 45-minute walkthrough to determine which car was the ultimate standout. Evaluating these vehicles wasn’t just about looks—it required digging into every intricate detail to decide which build truly embodied perfection.

A Night of Music, Art, and Community

Beyond the cars, the atmosphere was electric. DJ Goz, a local favorite, curated the soundtrack for the evening, complemented by live performances from Grafik and other talented artists. Attendees enjoyed delicious food and drinks as they soaked in the "just vibes" ambiance, making it a night to remember.

This inaugural event set a high standard and is poised to become a recurring highlight for car enthusiasts and culture lovers alike.

"742 Marketing’s history is deeply rooted in Los Angeles, weaving together fashion, music, art, and cars," Jeff shared. As the founder of Just|Vibes Events, Jeff has brought fresh, out-of-the-box thinking to car culture with innovative displays, unique venues, and a competitive yet celebratory atmosphere.

"'Just Vibes' was about combining all of 742’s roots into one event. It wasn’t just a car show; it was a gallery, a music festival, and a celebration of automotive artistry," Jeff explained.

The event featured only 50 cars, handpicked as the best of Southern California’s car scene, alongside several exclusive SEMA builds and a standout vehicle from Alabama. "Quality over quantity was always the goal," Jeff emphasized, and the evening’s success proved the concept worked flawlessly.

"Just Vibes" has laid the groundwork for what promises to be a game-changing series of events. Combining elements of automotive artistry, music, and community, it’s more than a car show—it’s an experience.

As the sun set over the 6th Street Bridge and attendees sipped tailored drinks, the word on everyone’s lips was "vibes." This is just the beginning, and car culture in Los Angeles has found its next big thing.
