Tim Hampson 2008 Audi S3

The day after my Birthday last year I treated myself to this 2008 Audi S3 after my previous car was lost in an accident.

Maybe it wasn't the best choice on the market. However, when I discovered the private number plate being included (contains my late grandfathers initials) I had no choice but to take it home. 

Since then, the high mileage and fairly standard S3 has started to undergo a lot of changes to improve it’s ability as a track car, whilst still having the ability to be used every day for my commute to work.

Current spec: 2008

• Audi S3 8P Standard engine and k04 turbo Remapped to around 310bhp
• Cobra 3” turbo back resonated exhaust
• Revo induction kit
• GFB DV+ PCV delete
• ECS tuning billet dipstick
• Paddle clutch
• Powerflex gearbox
• Mount inserts
• BC coilovers
• Team Dynamics Pro-race wheels with Yokohama A048 tyres for track use
• Mtec C hook coated brake discs
• Ferodo DS2500 pads
• Hel braided lines and ATE brake fluid

More work in the pipeline following some routine maintenance to get the power turned up some more.

Suspension, Exhaust, Brakes and various sets of wheels/tyres are just the tip of the iceberg at the moment.

After being a background member of  'ExtremeBHP' for many years, I started to become far more active after buying my first bespoke track car (a Clio 172). This not only allowed me to experience new race tracks and take part in my first competition at Ten of the Best, but it also developed my involvement with the club and now with the new car. Also, as an Extremebhp motorsport driver, I will be evolving the car, exploring more venues and progressing even further as part of the truly amazing family I have been introduced to and welcomed by.
