TravisJobe 2018 Ford Fiesta ST

I had really no choice in the vehicle as I said before, it was really my only turbo option. As far as modifying the car, my personality is if the only thing I could afford is a mountain bike…. It would be modded. I am always tinkering with things, preferring things, or maintaining things. It’s my self-care in a way.

Hi, I'm Travis, 32 years old. My love for cars started at an early age because my father has always restored old mustangs and AMC’s. So going to cruise-ins and dirt track races was my childhood. I am a recovering addict that turned my life around 4.5 years ago… starting with absolutely nothing but a few pairs of clothes, no license or car quickly turned into grinding to save my life.

I now work for a recovery housing non-profit in Virginia, the USA to help others struggling to find a better way to live and hit shows every month it seems. The community of people is astonishing to say the least, going to indoor shows has given me a non-blood family that I know are there for me which makes everything all worthwhile.

It seems there are more Focus RS in my area than fiesta STs, this car's build date is the same month and year as my clean date. Also, it’s the first vehicle purchase that was a new vehicle. When I got the jellybean it had 51 miles on it. With the addiction to heroin for a decade almost, I had destroyed my credit so I was desperate for a reliable vehicle for work. Ford attempted to get me to get a Focus SE…. Which being a car guy wasn’t happening. The only ST they had was the spice orange metallic fiesta. Turbo, 6 speed, it worked for me even if it wasn’t a planned purchase! The vehicle is my daily, it’s seen 13 shows in 2021. I drive the car 60,000 miles a year between 7 cities for work. That’s the special part… it’s not a trailer queen nor a weekend car for me. I mob this thing in the snow…. Literally.

I had really no choice in the vehicle as I said before, it was really my only turbo option. As far as modifying the car, my personality is if the only thing I could afford is a mountain bike…. It would be modded. I am always tinkering with things, preferring things, or maintaining things. It’s my self-care in a way.
