2015 Ford Fiesta ST3 Blair Ritchie

I chose my current car as it’s one of the best hot hatches ever made. I currently have mine remapped to stage 2 running approx 245bhp but overall the car looks stunning and has the power to back it up.

2015 Ford Fiesta ST3

Hi, my name is Blair, I’m 23 years old and I’m from Fife, Scotland. I’m currently working as a healthcare assistant and have been doing so for 4 years now. Ultimately I’d like to be working in the car industry preferably valeting, detailing or car sales. In my spare time, I spend most of the time with my 3-month-old son or out getting photos of the car or along to shows/meets

I’ve been into cars since as young as I can remember. Started off with toys then films such as cars or fast and furious started getting taken to racing events, shows, and playing games. As I’ve gotten older I’ve been into cars a lot more, constantly watching videos on them, reading up about them, learning etc. As soon as I passed my test I had my first car within the month which was a 1.6L Ford Fiesta Metal Edition and it had a few mods on it within the week.

I chose my current car as it’s one of the best hot hatches ever made. I currently have mine remapped to stage 2 running approx 245bhp but overall the car looks stunning and has the power to back it up. Relatively cheap, cheap to fix, cheap on insurance, but has incredible power and stunning looks. Not a second I’ve not loved this car. Always been a huge fan of Ford, and would love to have my hands on an MK2 Focus RS or MK3 one day. Another reason for my decision is they’re everywhere and I saw some stunning examples, took some inspiration from them but also wanted to put my own twist on them and make them stand out.

As I said I’ve been into modified cars for as long as I can remember, but I knew as soon as I could drive I wanted a fiesta, I wanted to put my own twist on what everyone else had already done. My car is my pride and joy, and to drive past seeing people looking, turning their heads or even people complimenting the car makes you happy and makes you want to do more.

Owning this car is something hard to describe. Driving and looking at the car is one of the best feelings I can explain, at the same time it’s also very stressful as they’re very commonly known for being stolen. Even with my various methods of security I still worry about it being stolen. That’s the only downside

I think the vinyl wrap for a start. It’s a very unique design that I have only ever seen on one other car. It makes the car stand out from the rest. I think also because of the number of mods on the list makes it stand out. The car looks very different to a standard ST and also because of the exhaust setup and also the ITG induction kit paired with a DV it’s very loud and definitely a head turner.

What do you think?

Full Spec

  • Stage 2 remap approximately 245bhp
  • ITG Induction Kit
  • Upgraded Engine Mount
  • Vinyl wrap on front bumper, mirrors, roof and rear bumper
  • Mountune catback exhaust
  • Maxton designed full lowline kit
  • Maxton design spoiler lip
  • XXR 527 alloys
  • Just taken off H&R 50mm Springs
  • Interior mods such as different lighting etc
  • Engine bay covers supplied from PaintModz

I bought the car already running stage 2 with the required mods. Everything power/mechanical side was already done when I bought the car but everything cosmetic/aesthetic wise I’ve done myself or gotten help from mates. Been very helpful having my mates showing me how some of it was done as now I’d feel a lot more confident doing these mods again myself.

Future plans

  • Maybe just colour-coded eyebrows
  • Custom lights front and rear
  • Spoiler risers
  • Maybe stage 3
  • Possibly even wrap the car

Mainly just finish off the engine bay and have it to a show standard

I would love to roll cage it etc but obviously the car needs to be used as a family car so it’s not possible anymore

Advice/Tips

Do it. It’s the most fun I’ve ever had driving a car. Like for what you pay you to get an incredible amount of car. I now see why it’s rated one of the best cars of its time. If you were to get one of these cars before you even consider modifications you must get security. It’s a MUST
