My name is Dominic Mottram, I currently work as a Builder/Dumper driver, aged 25 and a father of 2 amazing boys :)

I first got into cars when I was 10 years old and my step dad had a Vauxhall Cavalier at the time. It was champagne gold and he would spend all his time making modifications to his car. On the weekends I would help him just by passing him spanners, bolts or whatever he needed and then one day he added a big bore exhaust and a body kit to it. I was hooked! It sounded like he was going 200mph when really it was only 60mph.
When I was old enough to drive I went out and earned enough money to buy myself a MK5 Fiesta 1.6 Zetec s. It was completely standard when I bought it and it had no M.O.T. So the first job was to change all the discs and pads,new exhaust,headlights and a few other little jobs. It passed the first time and I was very proud of myself. I kept it standard for about 2 months until I started adding small modifications such as a K&N cone filter, upgraded headlight bulbs ,sports back box and so on and I was pleased with the car until I went to a ford show and saw some very modified fiesta's. So I went home and got some new alloys, full straight through, decat, deep dish steering wheel, splitter, lowering springs, bucket seats, harnesses and so on and turned into a fast road/track car. I ended up selling and buying that car 5 times.
Now I own an Audi A3 1.9TDI pd105. I bought the car off a local lad for £500 standard and needed repairs. The windscreen was smashed,engine management light was on,needed new ball joints ,drop links ,brakes all round and some other jobs .
I have always wanted a black Audi A3 and I finally had one! So I got a windscreen fitted and I've been working through all the repairs as I go. First thing was first and that was to get the rear windows tinted in limo black. After that I wanted to go fully murdered out. I tinted the rear lights myself ,sprayed the standard a3 alloys black. I wasn't happy with the look of the car so I decided to spend some good money and got myself a set of audi 18" s line alloys and got them sprayed in matte black. I added a matte black sun strip and a honeycomb grill. But I still wasn't happy so I got some H.I.D headlight bulbs and bought a set of headlights out of a 07 plate A3. Finally it was going the way I wanted. I was thinking what else could I do so I got a set of 60mm lowering springs and slammed it.
I'm happy with the car now but now I want to concentrate on the performance side. After the mot I'll fit a decat,straight through and back box delete, fmic,pd150 head bolts,bigger turbo, 4 bar map sensor and a remap .
Currently the car is a stock pd105 apart from an induction pipe and k&n cone filter and a tuning chip .
As for car shows that aren't my scene I prefer local car shows . I'm yet to bring the a3 what with the covid-19 .
My dream car is a mk1 escort and I'm sure with hard work I will get one.
