“Build through your eyes only and no one else's!” – B

Hi, I’m B! I’m a proud Alaskan living in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I’m not running things as a hostess at Rebellion Pizza—home to the best slices and craft brews in town—you’ll find me indulging in my many passions: detailing my car, brainstorming projects with my husband, baking treats with my kids, or treasure hunting at Target. Oh, and did I mention I’m a car enthusiast? Not just any car enthusiast—I’m an AMG fanatic.

My passion for cars runs deep, thanks to my dad. Growing up as a daddy’s girl, I spent countless hours watching The Dukes of Hazzard and hanging out in the garage. My dad’s two muscle cars, one reminiscent of the General Lee, sparked my love for automobiles. I’d help him with everything from holding tools to washing the cars, sliding through the windows like I was in the show.

But my true car obsession began with a 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 Coupe in white and red. That car was my pride and joy, and I’d love to have it back today. Life took me away from the car scene for a while, but everything changed when I met my husband. A car enthusiast just like me, he reignited my passion, and we’ve built an entire collection of incredible rides together.

The Iconic 2006 Mercedes Benz CLS55 AMG

The car that stole my heart is my 2006 Mercedes Benz CLS55 AMG. Why? First, it’s rare—only 2,765 were ever built, and an even smaller percentage were equipped with the coveted p030 performance package. This package includes larger two-piece brakes, a limited-slip differential, a higher top speed of 187 mph, and additional Alcantara details in the interior.

What started as a daily driver quickly transformed into a full-blown passion project. Every time I drive it, it’s exhilarating—like piloting a jet. The cockpit features panoramic views, precise controls, and a connection to the road that’s both thrilling and humbling.

The exterior is equally captivating. The CLS’s sleek body lines, often described as aggressive yet elegant, are enhanced by its unique Teckwrap Crazy Grape wrap. The wrap shifts colors depending on the angle, creating a dynamic, head-turning effect. Combine that with a perfect stance and deep concavity wheels, and it’s the definition of automotive art.

The Joy of Building with Family

What makes my CLS55 AMG truly special isn’t just its rarity or performance—it’s the story behind the build. My husband and I, along with occasional help from our kids, have poured our hearts into this car. From research and product sourcing to custom fabrication, this car is a labor of love.

Advice for Fellow Enthusiasts

If you’re considering a “supercharged era” AMG, don’t let the Mercedes mystique intimidate you. Yes, airmatic suspension struts may need replacing, and wire harnesses can crack over time, but with proper maintenance, these cars can last well past 400,000 miles.

The key to a successful build is staying true to your vision. Don’t build for others’ approval or fear of judgment. Build for yourself, and let your car reflect your personality and passion.

The AMG Community: More Than Just Cars

The car scene has brought me incredible opportunities and lifelong friendships. From participating in local shows and charity events to inspiring other women to join the automotive world, it’s been an unforgettable journey. The community’s camaraderie and support have empowered me to create, connect, and grow.

Dreaming Big: The Future of My Builds

While I continue to enhance my CLS55 AMG, my ultimate dream car remains the Mercedes AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupe. Until then, I’ll keep building, learning, and sharing my love for cars with my family and the amazing car community.
