2012 Infiniti G37: Customization of a G37

In the late '80s, while many of us were spending our summer weekends at the park, a group of friends in downtown San Antonio had their eyes fixed on something unique – modified cars. Among these automotive gems, it was the lowriders and mini trucks that particularly caught one individual's eye. "One day, I'll get my chance to build something that cool," he said to himself. Fast forward 27 years, after raising a family and establishing a career, that day finally arrived in 2015 when he fell in love with a 2012 G37.

Discovering the Community

Our protagonist's journey truly began when they discovered a Facebook group of G-37 enthusiasts hosting a car meet. The allure was irresistible, and they decided to attend. Little did they know that this step would change their life forever. At that gathering, they met people who shared the same burning passion for modifying and customizing their cars.

Starting Small and Dreaming Big

Like many, our enthusiasts began with humble steps – plasti-dipping the grill, a rite of passage in the world of car customization. Soon, they ventured into modifying the aesthetics of the engine bay, adding a Stillen CAI, air suspension, headlight halos, and a sport conversion bumper. And then, it was time for the first car show.

The Special Car Show

This particular car show held a unique place in our enthusiast's heart. Not only did they win the Best Infiniti award at IFO, but they also realized something profound – everyone at the show shared the same passion for showcasing their builds and discussing their next modification plans.

A Supercharged Transformation

As time went by, our protagonist's car journey reached new heights. By 2018, the G37 was supercharged by Jotech Motorsports, a significant upgrade that added more power and excitement to the car. Car shows remained a constant presence in their life.

Taking Matters into Their Own Hands 

In 2021, they decided to test their car skills even further. Two major modifications stood out – SOHO Motorsports A2A, an upgrade for the Stillen supercharger, and the ARC Brazing Catch Can. The most remarkable part? Our enthusiast did these upgrades themselves. The successful installation of these components marked a significant milestone in their journey.

A Journey of Learning and Growth

Throughout this remarkable journey, our enthusiasts discovered that there are different levels to car customization. You can't simply stay where you are; you must allow your car to grow with you. As a perfectionist, it was challenging to accept that nothing is ever 100% perfect in the world of cars. What kept them going was their robust support system, which included their team, family, and their ever-supportive wife.

In closing, this journey is a testament to the power of passion, hard work, and the unwavering support of loved ones. Our enthusiast's ability to share experiences with fellow car enthusiasts and exchange ideas has added immeasurable value to their journey.
