I always knew that if I bought a Miata I was going to do SOMETHING to it no matter what it was set it up for track or go the stance route. In the long run, I decided I wanted to make my NA the show car/stance car and I just made my vision a reality.

I'm Derek, grew up Here in Fresno California and currently work for a solar company. As for my hobbies, I mostly just work on cars outside of work or hang out with friends
My car addiction came from a mixture of things. First, off I have to thank my Uncle Jeff, most of what I do and enjoy nowadays is because of him and I can't imagine where I'd be without his influence or guide most of the time. I always loved his Honda Civic when I was little and then after a little while he got a wrx that I also really loved and REALLY sparked my love for Subaru as well. My dad and grandfather are also to thank for giving me those genes of a hands-on person and mechanic, and lastly, I played A LOT of need for speed as a kid so I'm sure that pushed me too!
I've loved Miatas for a while, but what really made me want one was back in high school my best friend Joey had an NB and he let me drive it a few times and I just fell instantly in love with the car and knew I needed to get one. A couple of years go by and I finally get an opportunity and this car just seemed like it was meant for me, even though I wanted an NB, This NA just stood out to me and I knew it was love at first sight

It makes me extremely happy to own this car and knows that my childhood self would be proud of what I have and where I'm at. It's such a good feeling to accomplish your kid goals. I can't help but smile whenever I look at it or drive it
The problem is as a Miata owner it's really hard to be unique. Everybody has done pretty much whatever you can think of. I just enjoy the fact that I can go around town and it turns heads constantly and always reels in compliments
Spec List
Engine:
- Stock besides full header back racing beat exhaust
Exterior:
- OEM 93le front and rear lip with a special touch of colour.
Rather than the original brilliant black, I resprayed the car to Jet Black Mica
Interior:
- OEM 93LE red interior with an aftermarket quick release wheel
Wheels:
- 16x9.5 +0 Weds Kranze Cerberus 1's
Suspension/Brakes:
- Tein coilovers with shorter springs,
- Custom adjustable rear upper control arms by EROD fab works,
- Circuit spec adjustable front upper control arms

I have done everything on this car besides the paint and OEM pieces on my own with a little bit of help from my friend Dayton. He's always been there whenever I needed a hand no matter how big or small when it comes to Miata stuff and I can't thank him enough
Future Plans
As for now I only want to find a Garage Vary type N kit for it but that's a long way out. I think the current setup is pretty solid!

Big shout out to my homie Johan that started Superior Gang, another huge influence on my Miata experience!
The car scene brought me a lot of joy and friends that I really never would have had if I hadn't jumped in a few years ago. Super grateful for everybody that's come into my life!
Dream Car
My all-time dream car is actually a Subaru Impreza 22B STI! Even though it's a bit out of range, I think it would be insane to own a piece of rally history like that
