The Humble Beginnings of "Greenie"
“You might want to quit a hundred times, but don’t. DON’T…GIVE…UP!” ~ Moof
I’m a “get after it” kind of guy who learned to weave dreams from hard work and determination. Growing up, two things shaped who I am today: wrestling and my truck. The truck that many would overlook—a beat-up old Chevy—became a representation of me, a canvas for my dreams. This wasn’t the gleaming, high-end vehicle that most teenagers dream of. Far from it. With its once-green paint fading into a mishmash of colors, dents, rust, and bizarre fish stickers, this truck, affectionately known as "GREENIE," was anything but glamorous. Yet, to me, it was perfect.

"GREENIE" has been part of my life since I was four years old. It wasn’t just a truck; it was a symbol of everything I am. My Dad, used it to haul wood, tow the trailer for camping trips, and take my friends and me on wild rides through the neighborhood. Those moments, bouncing around in the bed of that old truck, were more than just thrilling—they were unforgettable. Every time we went camping in that rugged truck, it was more than just about reaching the destination; it was about the journey and the incredible experiences we shared. These memories remind me that life is about cherishing the simple, joyful moments and embracing every adventure that comes our way.
The Turning Point: A Disappointing Gift
When my father handed me the keys to "GREENIE" at 15, it wasn’t the joyous moment most would expect. The truck barely ran and was an eyesore. Gone were the fond memories I had of the truck as a young boy, replaced by frustration and disappointment. But in that moment, something profound was ignited within me—a resolve to transform this humble vehicle into something extraordinary, to put some respect on my name.
Determined to turn "GREENIE" into the truck of my dreams, I embarked on a labor of love. I started with a new stereo and some bass, using money saved from paper routes and a job at Carl’s Jr. Dad even offered to match me dollar for dollar in my efforts, but that didn’t last too long (understandably). Weekends were spent working alongside friends as we breathed new life into the old Chevy. The truck taught me perseverance and commitment—lessons that would shape the man I would become.
From Greenie to Street Domination
Evolution of a Dream
As the years went by, "GREENIE" evolved. Through high school and college, my friends and I tackled countless upgrades. Over the next decade, the truck was painted emerald green, dark pearl blue, wine red, and finally, a custom blue—a testament to the many stages of my life and growth. Each color represented a chapter in my journey, each modification a milestone achieved.
For my 30th birthday, I made the bold decision to start over. My vision had grown, and I wanted a reliable, stunning truck to share. The truck was stripped down and rebuilt from scratch, a process that stretched far beyond my expectations. Working in the medical field, my job is intense and time is always in short supply. With my college wrestling days behind me, I needed something physical to control my frustration. What better way to relieve stress than to smash some metal? I spent almost every Saturday for years working on the truck, perfecting my vision. It wasn’t just about creating a vehicle; it was about creating a piece of me.
The Birth of "Street Domination"
Twelve years later, "GREENIE" became “Street Domination.” This is not just a truck; it’s a masterpiece crafted by someone who wasn’t a professional mechanic but was driven by a clear vision, relentless work ethic, and the support of incredible friends and family. Despite lacking sponsorships, professional tools, or endless funds, my passion and perseverance turned a rusted old pickup into a marvel of engineering and artistry.
Today, "Street Domination" boasts impressive specifications—a roaring 555 CI engine with a custom-built 14-71 TBS blower, a built Turbo 400 transmission, trans brake, and a rear end designed for performance. Its custom stereo system, hand-built in my garage, shakes the streets with 7,000 watts of sound. Every detail, from the Accuair eLevel Air Ride suspension to the unique custom rims, reflects years of hard work and grit.
A Symbol of Perseverance
In a world that often values quick fixes and instant gratification, "Street Domination" stands as a powerful reminder that true greatness is forged through perseverance and passion. This truck isn’t just a vehicle; it’s a symbol of what can be achieved when we pour our hearts into our dreams, no matter how unlikely they seem.
The next time you face a challenge or feel disheartened by a seemingly impossible task, remember this story. With vision, hard work, and the support of those who believe in you, even the most modest beginnings can lead to extraordinary outcomes. Sometimes, the most incredible journeys start with something that others might see as a pile of junk.
The Legacy of "Street Domination"
This truck isn’t just metal and wheels—it’s a testament to my journey from boyhood to manhood. It witnessed every moment of growth, every triumph, and every challenge. Through the highs and lows, my high school sweetheart—who eventually became my wife—stood by me, (sometimes) patiently. Our first date took place in this very truck. It symbolized motivation during my high school and college wrestling days and was a driving force behind my graduation, marriage, and transition into fatherhood.
A Viral Sensation
When the world reached a standstill in 2020, I had just finished my truck and was excited to share it with anyone who would pay attention. With the “free time” that COVID gave us, I focused on creating an Instagram page. To my amazement, it went viral, racking up millions of views. In the past four years, "Street Domination" has become a showstopper, earning accolades everywhere I take it.
A Grateful Heart and Shout Outs
I want to extend a heartfelt shout-out to the incredible people who have been with me through this journey: Dad, Mom, April, and our two beautiful daughters, Macy and Micah. Big Joe, John (Handy), Jamie, Big Neil, and Carlos—thank you all for being my ride-or-die, believing in me, and being an integral part of this extraordinary journey. To all the fans and people I’ve met at car shows and events, especially the younger generation: Don’t give up! Fight for your dreams. You might want to quit a hundred times, but don’t. DON’T…GIVE…UP!
