Hi, I’m Gary Krakow I have a Subaru Impreza P1 Pro Drive. At present, it is running a very healthy 642bhp with plans to get a bit more out of it in the future. It is the only one I know of to have an air ride. 

I’ve owned the car for 14 years now, it has been a fantastic journey and because I always wanted one when I first saw them produced I’m so glad I chose this model. Believe it or not m 10-year-old boy Taylor Krakow was born in the car so, as you can imagine, it has a lot of sentimental value to the family. 

I got into cars when I was small, I was always playing and tinkering with my grandad's cars, so it’s all his fault. I’ve been a mechanic for 24 years and now turned Into a diagnostic tech at Ok Automotive, which I really enjoy.

I chose this car as I wanted to stand out from everyone else, don’t we all, being different and not following the crowd or building something just because it's what everyone else wants is the great thing about the car scene, we are all unique. With it being a 3-door Subaru Impreza there are not many about in the UK, so they are becoming very rare and sought after, if you see one for sale BUY IT. 

Once I bought it the fun started, modifying it to my taste, I changed the look so no one could copy it or say I bought it like this, I wanted to change it to how I always pictured it, I think I accomplished that. You don’t normally see 19-inch Alloy wheels on a Subaru or the massive brake conversion, plus with it being lowered on The Airrex air ride from America which is Ideal for the spec of this car, I think it makes it unique.

If I had some advice to offer to anyone wanting to get into modifying cars, I would say If u want to stand out and you have a picture, a dream in your head about a car, and what you can do with it, go for it doesn’t matter what people say or do. It’s your car, your dream, your hard work, do it the way you want. Be different from the rest.

I enjoy what I do and have done 80% of the work myself. I’ve had help with the full paint job at dragons auto smart repairs and the engine side and tuning at area 52 were a massive help to me so many thanks to all of them.

My future plans are to hit 700bhp and take it to the Nurburgring to enjoy it the way it should be, fast and on track. The car is an all-around car I race it, show it, and use it for the best of both worlds.
