“…your build reflects your creativity.” – Jeff Enriquez
From Hot Wheels to the Real Deal
My name’s Jeff Enriquez, and I’m Filipino—born in Olongapo, Philippines. I was only a few months old when my family moved to Sacramento, and I’ve been here ever since. I’m now 34 and currently work on the Floor Care Team at Kaiser Permanente Hospital.
Growing up, I was that kid constantly begging my parents to take me to Kmart to buy Hot Wheels—back when they were just 79 cents. I was obsessed with anything that had four wheels. Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo kept me glued to the screen. But when The Fast and the Furious hit theatres, that was the cherry on top—it sealed my love for modified cars.
Then came the PS2 era: Need for Speed Underground, Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift, and others fueled the obsession. Grocery store visits always meant time in the magazine aisle, flipping through Hot Import Nights Magazine and Car and Driver. My first car show experience was at RaceWorz in Sacramento, where I got to meet Noel Gugliemi—yep, Hector from Fast & Furious. That moment stuck with me.
My Love for the Honda Accord Platform
Why I Chose the 2020 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T
My first ride was a 2000 Honda Accord SE. I later moved on to a 2012 Accord Coupe LXS. When the 2018–2020 Honda Accord models dropped, I honestly didn’t like them at first. I thought they lacked any real style. But then I saw one in Blue, and something clicked. Aftermarket brands started releasing more mods, and I realized I could mix and match to create something truly unique. That’s when the vision for Blu was born.
I chose the 1.5T despite the popular opinion to go for the 2.0T. Yes, the 2.0T has the Type R engine without the tune and doesn’t come with a CVT transmission like mine. But I wanted the challenge and creativity that came with working on the 1.5T variant.
Every Accord I’ve owned has been modified. This platform just grew on me—it’s clean, reliable, and full of potential. Once you start adding your own flavor, you see just how much character you can build into it.
Street Reactions: Everywhere I Go, People Notice
It’s wild. I get compliments everywhere. At work, people from all departments know my car—it’s that recognizable. When I pick up my kids from school, I hear, “Can I have your car?! I’ll trade you all my Pokémon cards!” Their friends tell them they have the coolest dad car ever.
Even at the bank, older guys come up to me with questions. The top two I get are:
“How do you drive it that low?”
“No way this is a factory color, right? This car is sick!”
It’s humbling to know something I built gets that kind of attention. That’s the beauty of car culture—it connects people, no matter the generation.
What Sets This Honda Accord Sport Build Apart
Unique Mod Combinations That Flow Seamlessly
What makes Blu stand out from other 10th-gen Accords is the variety of brands I pulled from to piece everything together. I didn’t go all-in on one brand—I carefully selected parts that worked well visually and structurally. The end result is a build that flows just right, with everything complementing each other perfectly.

A Personal Touch and Future Plans
Except for the Airlift system (installed by Tommy), the starlights (shoutout to Trizzzy), and the ambient lighting (done by AA Autostyling), I handled everything myself. This build is personal—it reflects my creativity and passion.
I’m still working on the trunk setup and thinking of adding even more turf for those chill car show vibes.
Big shoutout to my homies at @bankrupt.us for the support.
What the Car Scene Means to Me
This car has done more than just turn heads—it’s opened doors. I’ve built friendships, gained sponsors, and connected with enthusiasts around the world. The scene’s become a second family to me.
And if you're wondering, my dream car? That’s easy—a 1997 Dodge Viper in Blue with white racing stripes. One day!
Final Thoughts: Build What Reflects You
If you’re new to modifying cars, don’t stress about your parts list or setup. Trust the process. Even if you swap out a part later, it's all part of the journey. Your car should reflect who you are—your creativity, your style, and your story.
