1979 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10: A Lifelong Hobby
Hi, my name is Marcos Regalado. I’m a hard worker and family-oriented person. I work all the time, but if I have time for anything, it’ll be my family. Cars are a huge hobby of mine. I try to attend most car meets in my area here in San Jose, California. I enjoy seeing quality builds around me; they motivate me to bring something new and unique out. If I’m not working, I’m either with my family or enjoying a good car show.
1979 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10: The Truck That Started It All
Growing up, my dad had a truck, and that’s what got me into loving trucks and Datsuns. The passion I have for these cars started as a childhood dream, and now that I can afford them, I try to grab every opportunity I can to bring them home.
This 1979 Chevrolet C10 is special to me because it brings back so many memories of my dad. He had a similar one, and that connection makes owning this one mean so much more. I knew if I was going to own a Chevy C10, I had to fully build it from top to bottom. From the suspension to the wheels, the paint color, and the motor—everything had to be redone to meet my vision.
The Journey to My Dream Build
Owning this truck was a must for me. Once I was able to get my hands on it, I decided to go all in. I completely overhauled the truck, making sure everything met my standards.
Driving this truck is a whole different experience. You can feel the torque, and it feels so much bigger compared to my other cars. It’s got power, style, and it turns heads wherever it goes.

Who Helped Build It?
The work on the truck couldn’t have been done without the help of Tino Garza at Max Built Customs. He was the one who brought my ideas to life, making sure everything from the engine work to the suspension was perfect. His craftsmanship really shines in this build.
Future Plans: Building the Dream Collection
Time will tell what’s next for me, but I plan to keep working hard every day to make my dreams come true. As long as my family is healthy, I’ll continue to build cars because this isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s a passion. My ultimate dream is to have a museum where I can display all my cars in one place back home. I want to create something that tells the story of my love for cars, a space where I can share my journey with others.
Shoutouts
I want to thank my family, friends, and the builders who helped make this happen. A special shoutout to my photographer, Marvin Recinos, aka @MR2MIVIN, and my team, High Octane and Staff. Without you, none of this would have been possible.
Dream Car: More Than Just One
My dream isn’t about owning one specific car—it’s about having a collection that showcases my passion. The goal is to have a variety of vehicles, each with its own story and unique build, all housed together to celebrate this journey.
