I'm Jessee, a 36-year-old from Austin, Texas. By profession, I’m the Head of Data and Analytics, but my true passion lies in the automotive world — specifically in fabricating and modifying cars. Growing up on a farm, making things work was part of daily life. And being a millennial, it’s only fair to admit that games like Forza, Gran Turismo, and movies like The Fast and the Furious helped ignite my passion for building and modifying cars.

The Journey

From Farm Life to Car Fabrication

Living that farm life drew me towards trucks early on. This 1966 Ford F100 has been part of my family for over 25 years — 10 before I owned it and now 15 years under my care. Over time, it's evolved into something completely wild and unique.

I've owned a range of modified cars over the years. While my F100 stayed a long-term project, my daily drivers have included a supercharged 3G Acura TL, an E90 BMW M3, a C6 Corvette Grand Sport, a V8 Vantage, and currently an AMG GTS. Spoiler alert: I couldn't keep any of them stock! Modifying cars isn't just a hobby; it's something I think about daily.

Why the 2JZ Swapped 1966 Ford F100 is Special

I absolutely love this truck — it’s hands-down my favorite build. From the outside, it looks like a classic '60s Ford truck. But underneath? It's pure madness.

Hearing the roar of a 750whp Supra engine while looking out the windshield of a 60-year-old Ford never gets old. Seeing people’s reactions when they realize what's under the hood at car shows is priceless. It bridges the world of classic cars, JDM culture, and the custom-modified scene seamlessly. Whether it's a JDM event, a classic car meet, or a truck show, the F100 fits right in. It truly embodies the spirit of cross-culture automotive passion that Stance Auto Magazine is all about.

Jessee Billman’s Best Advice for Car Enthusiasts

"Devoting 30 minutes to an hour a day to your car project can go a long way in completing it." ~ Jessee Billman

If you want to tackle a build or even just modify your car, my advice is simple: work on it every day, even if it's just for 30 minutes. Those little efforts add up faster than you think, and before you know it, you're driving your dream.

Built by Hand, in a Home Garage

Every single modification and upgrade was done by me, in either a one-car or two-car garage. This truck isn’t just a showpiece — it’s a working monster, delivering both power and reliability. Apart from adding air conditioning (because Texas heat is no joke), this build is pretty much complete. Now, my attention is slowly shifting to my latest project: an LS3-swapped E30 Touring.

r0cean11 Photography started as a hobby for me. I have been practicing for a little over 21 years now. I was building cars for SEMA before I dove into the world of automotive photography. I shot mainly for myself, as it was and remains a passion. I did not get serious until the last car I built was totaled. I now shoot and write for Stance Auto Magazine, PASMAG, 742 Marketing Events, Superlap Battle, Global Time Attack, RACEWORZ, and many other events around the USA. Automotive photography allows me to capture not just a car but the story behind it. Each builder puts a part of themselves in their vehicle. As a photographer, it’s my job to tell and share that story through my lens. You can check out my Facebook page for all my event coverage and many individual car shoots I have done.
