Hi,

My name is Terry Setchfield, I'm 37 years old and I'm from Swindon Wiltshire.

I first got into cars way back in 1998 as one of my old best mates dad had a Sierra Sapphire Cosworth that I always loved going out as the power and noise was cool, my dad and his side of the family were into bikes but my dad does like classic cars.

I first bought my first car in 1999 after leaving school it was a mk2 Ford Fiesta bonus 1.1 in black, after a little while I passed my test then bought a blue Vauxhall nova then ended up being my first modded car as my other friends brother was in the car scene and took us out then we became apart of the family we were then known as the Greenbridge crew, over time I met some great close friends and mates sadly in 2001 my best friend Rich passed away he was into novas too we were known as the nova boys along with my mate Dave (dangerous Dave) we met him at a local car parts store after a while I bought a white nova which I soon had sprayed purple as it was Rich's favourite colour he wanted his blue nova purple but never got to do it sadly. 

I went to my first car show in my purple nova to Weston wheels back around 2001, a year later I bought a silver 5dr escort only because it had electric windows haha which I went full out on with a flip paint and crazy body kit from the max power era I had two small mag features in Redline show us yours and Fast Car annual it was on a stand at the second Weston wheels show 2002 since the escort I've had many many modified cars including my red fiesta xr2i which I also went full max power on and ended up meeting my future wife which we got married in 2008 I then went on to having more cars from more novas to Toyota mr2 and Subaru Impreza also many more to many to list haha!

Me and my wife Kelly then went on to have more children which led me to buying my Arden blue Zafira VXR in 2016 it was completely standard not so much now I joined the Zafira VXR owners club and recently became an admin thanks to the boss Craig.

I had ups and downs with my Zaf at first which ended up having an engine replacement but thanks to Darren and his knowledge he fitted it all for me and got the boost bus back on the road and saved it from the scrap yard.

I've met many great great car friends over the years from other clubs too which are all awesome and I'm a part of!!

Here's my Zafira VXR. It's a 2005 model I've done most of the work myself with advice and help with the more complicated bits. I'm currently running 292bhp tunes on my SM Tuning.

Engine mods include:

• MTC Motorsport crossover delete with a AEM cone
• MTC Motorsport enlarged tophat and boost pipes also a fmic
• Turbosmart actuator 
• Forge recirc 
• Yellow MTC coolant hoses
• Precat decat and sports cat 

Straight through the centre with a custom rear section with a 5" box and two 4" tips the whole system is 2.5" but upgrading to a 3" soon also has a few chrome covers.

My exterior has a gloss black carbon bonnet done my Aura Signs always use them as they are awesome guys I also have had my wheels sprayed gloss black I've wrapped the door pillars carbon and de chromed other parts. My interior is basically still standard at the moment I've wrapped my steering wheel controls and dash surround in carbon also added a few club stickers inside and out you may have noticed my fosters sticker on my bay the colour went with my theme some call it the fosters bus.

I recently won a virtual show held by extremebhp and beat 313 cars in a liked base competition with over 800 likes there were some amazing cars but I had the Vauxhall support.

I also won another comp with static outlaws in a battle war. I came first with some tough competition so on a winning streak my plans for my Zafira are more power, new wheels and a splitter kit in the next two years.

My dream car is a Ferrari F40 as it's a classic old school car with amazing looks and the sound is mind blowing!
