“Live your dream, Build your car”
I am 22 years old and I reside in Salt Lake City, Utah. I work for Mercedes Sprinter van as a mechanic. In 2019 I bought my Focus after graduating from high school. I have always been intrigued and interested in modifying cars. My family is in the automotive industry which inspired me to modify and build my own car.
I drove a Jeep Cherokee in high school, but my passion was wanting a Focus or a Subaru WRX STI. I had a friend in high school who owned a Focus ST. Watching him build onto his car and the sound of it got me interested in cars more. I attended The SEMA Show in Las Vegas which got me more excited to own and build my own car.
The Ford Focus was one of my options to be able to afford. I originally looked for the Focus RS, then this car came across at the right time and price. This is the first car that I bought and modified. Once I bought the car, I had a vision of what I wanted this car to look like.
When I look at my car and all the hard work, I have put into this, it puts a big smile on my face knowing I completed the modifications and created a unique Ford Focus ST. To get behind the wheel and drive it down the road is an astonishing feeling and the sound from the car is priceless.
This car has been one of my greatest accomplishments and I am very proud of the outcome. When I take my car to car meets or events, I get a lot of feedback on all the modifications I have made. I have created my own version of this car. This makes my car unique.
To see younger teenagers/kids get excited about the car makes my decision to modify it gratifying. My car is unique inside and outside. Once you see the car in person, you take a step closer to notice all the hard work I have invested in building it and making it my own version of the Ford Focus ST.

The Work
I built this car with research and friends in the car scene helping me complete some of the work. Each year I add or change up a piece on the car. I am customizing this car to my vision.
Future Plans for the 2018 Ford Focus ST
I plan on keeping this car and taking it to shows and events. I would like to get more content in magazines and videos for others to see my success. I will get another car in the future and make it my own as well.
Advice/Tips
The advice I would give to anyone wanting to modify or build their own car is to do your research. Utilize youtube videos and google. Research products, brands, and companies. Invest in good quality and reliable companies to buy their products to show the workmanship of your car.
The Scene
The car scene is a great opportunity to build long-lasting friendships. I have met a lot of great people in the past three years. I like to play golf and bowl as well. This has made our friendships more than the car scene.
Dream Car
My dream car is the Porsche 911GT3RS. My future awaits this car.
