2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 MR - Dwight Fratzke
The amount of customization this car takes to be what it is. Being an Rwd Drift Evo is a statement in itself. Then you realize it is powered by a turbo coyote and the jaws drop. It's the only one in the world. beyond the swap, the car has parts from other manufacturers that help complete the puzzle Nissan and Ford particularly.

My name is Dwight Fratzke of Independence, IA. I have a wife and five kids. I'm an avid Automotive Enthusiast. I work for XL Specialized trailers a heavy haul trailer manufacturer. I also own a custom vehicle/fabrication shop Untamed Antiks as a side gig specializing in drift car fabrication and building amongst other genres of motorsports with cages and tube work as a focus. My interests are anything from off-roading, drifting and drag racing to a simple drive or car show. I also do some sim driving and the occasional COD with the boys.
What got me into cars? I'd say it probably was a mix of things as a kid for me I loved building BMX bikes and other contraptions on wheels. I also loved to draw and realized I could l draw cars well. I started flipping through the pages of Super Street Magazine and there I was drawing and admiring these builds and started putting my own twist on each one. The other thing that really captured me in the car scene was video games like every 90's kid that's now a car enthusiast I spent hours playing Need for Speed, GTA, Driver, Gran Turismo, etc.
Why did I choose this Car? A buddy of mine bought it with plans to return it to factory condition and boy was she missing a few things. But, something about them Evo's looks have always caught my attention. The price was right and I had a really great idea pending that started with "Drift" and ended with "Taxi".
I decided to Customize this car because I really like to do one-off builds and the purchase of the Evo in the state bought it left me with no choice. But, I wanted to do something that would "break the internet". So why not a Ford Powered drift Evo?
Owning this car is pretty wild to me, every time I look at it. It's insane this car was crafted to this level by my own willpower, knowledge and hands. Knowing every countless hours I spent away from my family, away from events just to make the extra push to finish this car to this level has an outcome of such mechanical awesomeness. The best part though is the following the car brings. people going to events just to see the car in person is so crazy to me and I appreciate every one of them.

Have you done the work yourself, details? Yes, the majority of it was done by me. I designed and fabricated the angle kit, tube front, bash bar, subframe modifications, diff mount, exhaust, and Trans tunnel. I also installed the motor and wired them myself. The Wrap was done It's a Wrap in Marion Iowa. Yepez Paint and Body did the custom flare moulding into the front fenders. The Intercooler piping was also outsourced.
Future Plans
Absolutely! I will be for sure adding a cage either to match FD spec or a drift taxi cage so we can maintain rear seats. I would like to buy a fresh crate engine for the car as the engine in it is pieced together. Also, have plans to upgrade stub and axle shafts to better handle the power. I will probably start stocking up on extra wheels as well.
Advice/Tips
Get to know the market for these cars before getting into them. I went in blind going from a car on doughnuts with no brake callipers or headlights to a complete unit is expensive. I found out first hand the Evo market is no kiddie pool when it comes to buying parts.
Shout Outs.
Team Boogie Knights for keeping me motivated to complete the car and go out and put it to use. The Coyote Swapped Facebook page has kept me going in a few predicaments.
The car scene keeps me going, keeps me striving to do the next best thing. If there wasn't another car enthusiast out there to share this passion with what would be the point?
Dream Car
Honestly, It's something I have thought much about lately I'm pretty content with what I have now but I would say probably an S550 Gt500 or something of the sort.
