My name is Lowell Horn, And I’m 22 years old and from Marietta, Ohio. I have been into cars practically my whole life. Everyone on my father's side of the family takes drag racing pretty seriously, from a very young age I was surrounded by Mopar muscle cars from the 60s, watching the Dukes of Hazzard, or going to Mopar Nationals. As I grew up and started making my own money I quickly found my own niche.
Youtube definitely got me into this specific subculture. Towards the end of 2018 when Slammedenuff Gatlinburg was becoming what it is today, I came across videos of clubs such as violent clique and vaded mob. I fell in love with the scene from the cars to the overall aesthetic. In high school, I had an Eclipse and there was little to no aftermarket support, I knew I wanted a car that had plenty of potential and just like any other high schooler, a rear-wheel-drive with 3 pedals.
I first got this car I followed several other 86s such as @bonlesspunk and @yungmarccs their cars were very different compared to most of the other 86s on my timeline. I knew one day I wanted to build something on that level. It’s definitely a never-ending cycle of wanting to do more and more. I recently just got the new wheels fitted so every time I come home and see it sitting there, it feels unreal. It’s a good feeling every time I take it into town getting dozens of questions or compliments.
One thing that makes my car unique would have to be the fenders. At the time I got them fly1motorsports did not make them for the 86s yet but I found a guy on Instagram who made them, at that time I had the 7th set, I’m sure there’s a lot more out there now.

As far as the work on the car goes, everything besides paint I have done by myself with some help from friends along the way. As far as future plans I’m currently building a set of clear taillights and have a low glow on the way. I also want to wrap it eventually
Advice
Have a plan! My car is on its 4th setup. I always knew I wanted it to look how it does today but I cheaped out along the way on some things resulting in me eventually replacing the parts with what I originally wanted. I could have finished it a long time ago saving literally thousands if I would have made a plan and stuck with it.

Cars are cool and all but the real experience is the people you meet along the way. Go out and travel to new shows. Go meet your internet friends!
My dream car is an s13 Coupe. I really want the chance to build a 90s car before it’s too late
