"Don’t give up; keep pushing, you’ll get there." These words are more than just a mantra for Bryan Aguilera—they’re the fuel behind his passion and dedication. A 24-year-old native of Carson City, Nevada, Bryan is a drywall finishing and painting specialist. But when he's not perfecting surfaces, he's engrossed in his love for cars, spending time with friends and family, and diving into DIY home projects.

The Spark That Ignited the Passion

Bryan's passion for cars started early, influenced by his uncles who always had their rides modified. The roaring exhausts and the excitement of new wheels left a lasting impression on him. Growing up, Bryan and his cousin would immerse themselves in car culture by watching The Fast and The Furious series and playing Need for Speed and Gran Turismo. Although he never had the chance to attend car meets or shows as a child, the desire to one day own and modify his own car never left him.

Choosing the Subaru WRX: A Dream Realized

When it came time to choose his first car, Bryan knew exactly what he wanted—a Subaru WRX Hatchback. He was drawn to the Subaru rumble and the AWD capability, influenced by his uncle's 2004 WRX. The hatchback’s wide-body look stuck in his mind, and it wasn’t long before he began visualizing his build. In 2018, Bryan made that vision a reality by purchasing his dream car—a 2011 Subaru WRX Hatchback.

Building the Connection: From Stock to Showstopper

Bryan’s WRX was initially his daily driver, but it quickly became much more. Starting with air suspension and Cosmis wheels, the build evolved into a full custom project featuring a wide-body kit and a striking candy-red paint job. The transformation from stock to showstopper was not just a physical change but also an emotional journey. Bryan's connection with his car deepened as he modified it to his taste, building something that reflects his personal style and passion.

Standing Out from the Crowd

Bryan’s Subaru WRX is more than just a car—it’s a statement. The unique wide-body and bumper combination, coupled with the custom candy red paint, set his car apart from others. His choice of a custom white leather interior, inspired by Tesla’s whiteout design, adds a touch of elegance rarely seen in this type of build. For Bryan, the reactions from onlookers and the appreciation from fellow car enthusiasts are the ultimate rewards.

The Community and Future Plans

Building his WRX has not only been a personal journey for Bryan but also a way to connect with the car community. He’s made friends who have become like family, helping him align his fitment and make necessary electrical modifications. The car scene has also brought Bryan opportunities in his professional life, as he meets people who need his drywall and painting expertise.

Looking ahead, Bryan plans to continue evolving his WRX. A new set of wheels is on the horizon, which he believes will further transform the car’s appearance. While he has no plans to sell the car, he looks forward to attending more shows and meeting fellow enthusiasts across the country.

Shout Outs and Dream Car

Bryan would like to thank his friends, his family, and everyone who has supported him throughout his journey. He also wants to give a special shout-out to his boys—they know who they are. As for his dream car? While he has many, the Nissan Silvia S15 holds a special place in his heart. The car’s legacy, JDM essence, and iconic status make it a build he would love to take on next.
