My name is Damien Mussetter, and I'm a proud car enthusiast hailing from the charming town of Mooresville, North Carolina. Growing up surrounded by the hum of engines and the smell of grease, I was destined for a life in the world of cool and old cars and trucks.

Thanks to my dad, who worked at a local shop, I had the privilege of assisting with various projects from a young age. Those early experiences ignited a passion that led me to where I am today—a partner in my dad's shop, crafting remarkable project trucks and cars.

Family plays a significant role in my automotive journey. My dad and grandfather introduced me to the magic of cars and trucks. For my graduation, my dad gifted me an '85 Foxbody Mustang that we painstakingly restored together—a cherished possession to this day.

But it wasn't just about the cars; it was a shared love, a connection. My grandpa, battling ALS, couldn't drive his beloved 2017 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3. In his honor, I chauffeured him to car shows and cruises, where the car community embraced us. It was during this time that I fell deeply in love with the S550 Mustang and the vibrant car culture.

Choosing the S550 Mustang: A Tribute to Grandpa

My grandpa remains the driving force behind my choice of the 2017 Mustang GT. Though his car was sold before I could acquire it, the allure of the S550 Mustang body style captivated me. After a local dealership find, the journey of ideas and customization began.

Owning and Driving the Dream: Stanced Mustang

Driving my Mustang is a thrilling experience. The addition of air ride suspension transformed it into a head-turner. Airing the car out elicits admiring looks, and the vibrant color ensures it stands out wherever I go. With a substantial Instagram following, sharing my car's journey has become a source of immense joy.

Uniqueness Defined: Beyond the Surface

What sets my car apart is the carefully chosen wrap color that sparks curiosity everywhere. The sour patch kids wrap under the hood and in the trunk jams adds a playful touch, grabbing attention at shows. Most of the work was a labor of love in my dad's shop, with Chris at Ultimate Wraps handling the wrap and Rob at Powercurve Motorsports tuning it.

Looking ahead, boosting the car is on the agenda. Considering a Procharger for that distinctive sound and contemplating a color change to maintain the wow factor. Yet, I'm content with its current look, appreciating the hours spent perfecting it with friends.

Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Car Enthusiasts

To newcomers in the car scene, my advice is to surround yourself with supportive friends. Doing your car modifications is not just about saving money; it's a journey of learning and shared experiences. Embrace the process; it's all nuts and bolts in the end.

If I were to pick a dream car within reach, it would be the Porsche 992 GT3RS. Its captivating design and commanding presence make it the hottest factory car in the market for me. One day, I hope to add that beauty to my collection.

In essence, my car journey isn't just about vehicles; it's a tapestry of memories, shared passions, and the remarkable people I've met along the way. The car scene isn't just a hobby; it's a lifestyle—a vibrant and thrilling one at that.
