Daniel Gounder - Honda Integra DC2

The whole car was built in my garage at home, from the paint work all the way to putting the engine in. I prefer doing all the work myself because, I have a very unique taste in how I modify my cars!

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel Gounder, aged 21 from Western Sydney and I currently work as an excavator operator!

Instagram: @d.gounder

I currently drive a Honda Integra DC2, it has been my favourite car since I was 12 years old! So I had to make a purchase.

What got me into the car scene? It was by watching the ‘Fast and the Furious series, this has a big impact on my passion for cars now but, also the Need for Speed on PS2 had a part in it too!

In terms of car stats, the car is pulling a 346kw on 18psi!

Full Spec List:-

  • JDM Front End Conversion;
  • Fully Shaved Bay;
  • Wire Tuck;
  • Brake Line Tuck;
  • Custom Purple Paint Job;
  • Air bagged with Airlift 3P;
  • CCW LM5T 3 piece wheels;
  • 1.8L built motor with forged internals;
  • Bride Japan seats;
  • S2000 Dash Cluster;
  • Spoon sports steering wheel;
  • Type R optional Lip Kit;
  • Custom lip and skirt extensions; and
  • Custom diffuser.

The whole car was built in my garage at home, from the paintwork all the way to putting the engine in. I prefer doing all the work myself because I have a very unique taste in how I modify my cars!  I did all of the work myself, it was a garage built car. The car was tuned by Adrian at ‘Insight Motorsports’ and it made the 346kw on 18psi.

The DC2 was my second car, it was my brother at first and then he sold it to me. It was the first car that both of us learnt to drive manual! My very first car was in fact a Honda Integra DC5, which is also an awesome car! For me, a car is never finished! There is always something that pops up. I do want new wheels eventually however, I am not in any rush at the moment.

Two car clubs that I look up to are ‘Fortune Gang’ and ‘House of Stance’. Not only do they have good cars, but they are also an awesome bunch of people! I have only taken the car to one show which was ‘Status Seasonal’. It was the first time I revealed the car since keeping it a secret while building it! I don’t go to car meets anymore, I only attend actual shows. The only show I look forward to is ‘Status Seasonal’ because they go above and beyond every single year and it is literally the best of the best cars! Highly recommend them!

My dream car I would say is an Audi R8 because they are quick and absolutely beautiful!

Thank you for reading my article, don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for more!
