Greg's - 1972 Datsun 240z
After about 1 month or so of what's probably the hardest part of building a car was choosing the paint. I ended up going with brilliant orange, with shades of gold and yellow. I love the colour, in dim lights, it's a dense orange, in the sunlight it's gold/yellow.

This lightly modified stock Datsun 240z build was a fun one for me. It started off as a commemorative build for my late father, but ended up being so much more. After looking on the internet for the past 10 years I couldn't pass up on a chance when I saw an old beat-up, rusty sad-looking Z on the internet.
My wheels started turning, thinking about how much time I'd spent with no car but my father's old owner's manual. I gave the listing a call and figure a way to strike a deal and that's where it all started.
I figure I got lucky loving such a small car because I only have a one-car garage space where I live. So doing a full-blown build probably would go against my lease agreement. But I figured, I'd just, well, Send It! It started with about a gallon of degreaser and a vacuum to completely clean the best I could, then on to paint stripping to get down to the bare metal. Several areas needed rust repair and some panel repair along with a new matching rear hatch and new matching year hood. Primered and set aside to work on the engine bay.
I went ahead and went through the entire engine with OEM and aftermarket parts. Added a 6-1 header to a version 1 Fujisubo full exhaust and Velocity stack from Motorsports Auto and upgraded timing system. Mainly Stock.
For my suspension setup, I went with Silvermine's coil-over for the price and it is down the street from my house. And a set of 15 x 9, -13 offset @atararacing wheels with a set of 195 @Hankooktiresusa tires. The Toyota big brake setup and stock drum brakes.

I wanted something a bit different for the front and rear of the car. So I took some inspiration for @JonSibal and designed and fabricated my own version of the New 2022 Z's grill and it came out amazing and a third brake light that runs across the rear of the car.
the interior of the car has some updated touches as well, carbon fibre radio delete panel with UBS and fuel pump switch, LED lights throughout the car and updated interior panels.
Overall I couldn't be happier with the way it came out, looks and sounds amazing, and proud of the work put in to make it happen. it's an absolute head turner down the freeway.
