Club Stands
Imagine an event where you can see a 1,000bhp Audi RS6 Avant and an iconic Vauxhall Astra GSi? Yeah. Tunerfest North is your place - With over 700 cars and 35 clubs. I'm exciting think about those numbers.
North Staffs Customs Car Club
My Dad and I parked at the North Staffs Customs club stand. The club stand had various performance and hot hatches, from the Fluorescent Yellow Volkswagen Polo GTi to the Stancetastic Audi TT.
If you love sleek show cars, this Audi A5 Convertible's ready for you - With its air ride suspension and Stage Two 320bhp 3-litre V6, it's an excellent proposition. Indeed.
Extreme BHP
If you love lots of horsepower - Extreme BHP's for you, from the variety of Tuned JDM cars to American Muscle Cars, it's the place to go. True.
The star of the JDM group was a Toyota IQ with a Celica GT-Four Castrol inspired-livery. Really? Yes. With its fun yet authentic livery, the Toyota placed a smile upon many on goers faces.
Jap North Wales
If you love Japanese Performance Cars with style - May I introduce you to JAP North Wales. From the underrated Honda CR-X to the iconic Nissan Silvia S15 - you're in for a treat.
My favourite car from the Jap North Wales stand is the Honda CR-X due to its use of carbon fibre and harkening back to the Max Power Magazine era.
Stance Auto Magazine
Before attending the event, I was excited about the Stance Auto Magazine club stand. Though I was confused about where the stand was, I discovered it on my way towards the track to photograph the TCR.
There was a retro Vauxhall Astra GSI MK3 with a clean engine bay and a tasty turbo. I also photographed a stancetastic Lexus IS300 with a tidy engine bay and dynamic. The car owners of the Stanced Auto Stance were polite.
Other Club Stand Cars
Have I forgotten about the other club stand cars? Nope. Few, though I did the main shots of the car club, I wanted to shed light on the overlooked cars at Tunerfest North.
How much horsepower does this Audi RS6 Avant make? 700bhp. Nope - this Audi RS6 produces 1,000bhp, more than the original Bugatti Veyron 16:4. I photographed the Ultimate GTI (Manchester tuning firm) RS6 Avant because of the striking livery. Pow!
Do you love the wing on this Nissan GTR R35? Yeah. Same here - If you prefer the iconic wing on this GTR R35, the GT3-Inspired wing on this Nissan adds a unique twist to the recipe. Tasty!
Individual Exhibits
Though all the car shows put on a phenomenal, the individual shows also didn't disappoint. Indeed! With a mixture of classic, stanced and hot hatches, it turned my frown upside-down.
Whilst photographing in the car park, I came across a blue Mercedes SL55 AMG that look delightful. Once, I turned to face away from the sun, and the paintwork made me feel amazed on this SL55 AMG.
I also shot a Toyota Chaser Tourer with Bronze paintwork and a stanced suspension. It looked delightful!. I'm fond of unique JDM cars since My Dad's previous car was a retrofitted 1998 Lexus LS400.
Show And Shine
Do you like to detail your car? Yeah. Same here - From a photographers perspective, it's quicker to edit a photo of a clean car than to a with specs of dust. Whoever had the cleanest car won a trophy.
Highlights from the Power Maxxed Show and Shine Event were the Volkswagen Corrado because I love the camber, and it reminds me of the times I played Forza Horizon 1. Good times!
I also love the Red Bull WRC-inspired livery on the Citroen C4 VTS for its eye-catching looks and Seat Leon for the clean grey paint job.
Trade Shows
What place can you visit where you can find cutting-edge trends and ask for advice on your build? Not sure. I Recommend visiting the trade shows.
Paceward Insurance had a stand where owners of their cars showcased the MK8 Volkswagen Golf GTi Clubsport. Exciting! Top Ten Performance Giveaways also had a stand to win a custom Nissan 370Z Nismo build or Audi R8 V10 Performance through a raffle.
Trophies And Awards
Tunerfest North offered three different categories to each club, This includes:
- Best Club Stand
- Biggest Car Club
- Best Tunned Car Club
Extreme BHP won the best Cub Stand, North Staffs Customs Car Club won the Biggest Car Club, and Jap North won the Best Tunned Car Club at Tunerfest North.
Conclusion
What's my favourite car festival of the year to photograph cars? Geneva Motor Show. Geneva Motor Show tends to have new cars but lacks the intimacy and variety of Tunerfest North.
Whether you're watching the crazy Time Attack cars whizzing around the track, people race their cars for the Run What You've Brung session, where you take your own time for no trophy. When you've had your time watching the track, you can visit the Club Stands, where you can see over 700 unique cars in their best light. What a sight!
Suppose you love to see the most pristine and detailed cars in the U.K. Then, you can visit the Power Maxxed Show and Shine competition, where car owners compete to have the cleanest car in the stand.
If you'd want to get inspiration for your build or get advice from car enthusiasts, Trade Stands is the place to get quality parts for your motor. For example, you might win a custom Nissan 370Z Nismo build at Top Ten Performance Giveaways.
