I'm now 35 years old, had my licence just shy of 17 years, and have been in the Car scene pretty much all of 17 years, I work at halfords as a 3 b's fitter ..but I have experience in car bodyrepair.  I'm now a mum of a beautiful almost 3-year-old boy, and that has not stopped me at all. I have a few piercings and a collection of tattoos..some of which are car-related. I'm also into astronomy and meteorology, I'd love to go to America and go on a tornado chasing holiday.  

My hobby is car shows, both of my parents had an interest in cars and modifications as they were young parents when I arrived. I've just taken it 1 step further, Lealo (the vw Lupo gti) ... 

My Astravan took an untimely death I was distraught, I had to strip her down of all the audio and sell bits. An old friend sent me a message asking if he was to sell the Lupo would I be interested as he would give me first dibs. Now even to this day, I'm far from a VW fan,  even though it was a nice gesture I struggled to find the right car. He told me to pop up and loan the Lupo for a bit. 

At the end of a week, I had to make a decision. It was tough the car was and still is very well known for those who are into car audio. So in my head, it didn't feel like I could make him my own. I initially declined, but after a few days and my parents and Fella nagging me to get a car that was well looked after I swallowed my pride and called my friend and purchased the Lupo. I mean Lealo. 

On 14th December 2013, I became a VW owner, I didn't know what to think or feel, I was always a Vauxhall girl. Nonetheless, the Lupo was my new sidekick. He has air suspension and a cute little audio set up which soon changed many times.

I needed to put my mark on him, I started off with the 4 8inch subwoofers and a little mid-range set-up. Then I got 2 12 inch subs and I started to want to change the outside...I got a wrap! And a new nickname appeared. Harley Quinn Lupo. Down the driver's side of the car was a huge wrap of Arkham City Harley Quinn.  Finally, he began to feel like my car.

It's almost 8 years of ownership and we have been through lots of changes together. We are the A-team. Both small and loud haha! It's amazing we have been on YouTube for EXOs videos. I'm always on show stands with vibe audio. I mean we are us... me and lealo are not like the others. We are bassheads...audio freaks. It's amazing. Yes, lots of fast cars fly past us..but can any of them produce such clarity and amazing hair tricking bass!? Or even watch films? I'd say no. I can park him up air him out walk away look back and smile 

If I was to say what makes my car unique it would most definitely be the paint job and audio. I have a custom dashboard with an iPad in the centre. Not to mention the gigantic wall of subs behind me. We were for years running the loudest lady in the UK. Yes, there is another lady louder than me now (I'm working on it) but to be Frank, 150db is nothing to complain about, it's loud I mean I outdo bar and club music by miles. And topping it off the new paint job makes him look classy.

I painted the dash from red to black and designed my Audio set-up. I've dabbled with bits and bobs but I'll happily admit I've had alot of help. Castle coachworks ( my previous employer) I'd like to thank you for the amazing paint job. Pete and the @seatskinz team for my lovely custom seat Skinz, and a huge thank you to all the guys who are my family @vibeaudio who pit up with me and my crazy ideas! 

And everyone who has ever helped me even when I had my Astra van..nobody goes forgotten because without you guys I'd jot be here with the Lupo either! Lots of individuals who help me even with the mechanical side if it's beyond my knowledge. Most basic mechanical stuff I can do alone..but other bits I can't. One individual I'd like to personally thank is the Big JK. Jon Knowles my better half.

Future Plans

Maybe a new paint job? But a new install may be pending first!!!!

Advice/Tip

Make sure you prepare yourself for quirky issues. My windows often get stuck lol. Temp rises fast so check coolant often. Wave at other Lupo GTIs!! and remember you are part of some weird VW clan lol
