How It All Began

I’ve been into cars for as long as I can remember. My very first car was a 1994 Mazda Miata, gifted to me at 17 thanks to my grandmother. She insisted I get that car, and we spent countless hours driving together, her patiently teaching me to master a manual gearbox. That’s where the bug truly bit.

From there, I experimented with a few trucks and diesels before moving on to a 2019 Camaro 1LE. I gave that little 2.0 turbo the full treatment — FBO, big turbo setup, the works — but deep down, I knew I wanted something more. Something with V8 power, character, and road presence.

That’s when I found myself at a Ford dealership, staring at a brand-new Grabber Blue Mustang GT. Without overthinking it, I signed the papers. I knew this was the next chapter.

Family Roots in Car Culture

My love for cars didn’t appear out of nowhere. My grandfather rebuilt rotary engines and always had projects in the garage. My mother drove an RX-7 when she met my dad, and my grandfather kept a Foxbody Mustang for as long as I could remember. Some of my favorite memories are sitting on his lap, steering down backroads with the roar of that Mustang filling the air.

My grandmother? She was just as passionate. She loved Corvettes and Miatas, and she’s the reason I got my first car. Cars run deep in my family’s DNA, and this Mustang is more than a machine — it’s a connection to all of them.

Why the S550 Mustang?

The S550 platform has always caught my eye. The styling is muscular yet refined, and I was particularly curious about the 10-speed transmission and how it could handle racing. While my actual time racing was short-lived, I still wanted a car that had the capability and the look to match.

You don’t often see stanced, bagged S550s. That alone made me want to go in that direction. I wanted something unique, daily-drivable, and personal.

The Mustang GT Build Specs

Here’s what makes my 3rd Gen Coyote Mustang GT stand out:

  • 5.0 3rd Gen Coyote

  • Texas Speed Headers

  • PMAS Fenderwell Cold Air Intake

  • 4-inch Cervini Cowl Hood

  • Tricky Performance E85 Tune (480whp)

  • Euro Taillights

  • GT500 Side Skirts

  • Airlift Performance Airride

  • Weds Kranze Erms Wheels

  • Pink Leather Seats

  • Custom Floor Mats

  • Ruin Air Management

This combination gives the Mustang both show-stopping stance and respectable power. On Airlift, it tucks the wheels perfectly, and with 480whp on tap, it’s no slouch when I put my foot down.

Who Built It?

The best part of this project? Most of the work was done with my best friends. Big shoutout to Nate, Richard, Damian, and Michael — we handled almost everything ourselves. The bags, hood, taillights, seats, and side skirts were all installed in our garage.

The only exception? The headers. Anyone who’s wrestled with Mustang headers without a lift knows why I left that to the pros.

Daily Driving on Airlift

A lot of people ask if I daily this car, and the answer is yes — without hesitation. On Airlift Performance, the ride is smooth, comfortable, and flexible. I can air out at shows, then drive home without scraping the life out of the chassis. It turns heads everywhere, and the stance makes it one of the most unique Mustangs around.

Future Plans

This build is far from finished. My next steps include adding an ESS supercharger kit to push the power even further. I’m also considering paint-matching the hood for a cleaner look and maybe switching up the wheel setup.

No matter what, this Mustang will keep evolving — just like my passion for cars.

Shoutouts

Massive thanks to the people and brands who’ve supported the build and inspired me:

@verysadchaoss
@crob15

And of course, my friends who’ve been wrenching with me since day one.

Dream Car

While I love the S550, my dream car has always been a C6 Z06 Corvette. And yes, you can bet if I get one, it’ll be bagged and stanced too.
