My name is Chantelle, I’m 21 from Plymouth and I’m a nuclear training advisor at Babcock. I have always loved cars, jap cars in particular since I was young because of my dad and brother! We have an RX8 project as well as my 350z and have previously had an MX5 on our project list. My mum loves her German (Mercedes in particular) and started to convert my brother (he has an Audi A5 as his daily) but for me and my dad... it’s Jap all the way.

A few years back I had gone to JapFest at Silverstone with my dad and brother and fell in love with the 350z. At the time I was 18/19 so a V6 beast felt like a dream car due to the expense of owning and insuring one. I ended up buying a Toyota Celica VVT-I (much smaller engine for someone who hadn’t been driving long). But I didn’t give up! 7 months after JapFest I drove into the depths of Cornwall to pick up this beast. In the past year, I have been busy...

I have a few parts which are being fitted over the next few weeks and I’m very excited to see the transformation! After then staging the beast I would like to say the 350z project is finished however we all know a car project is never quite finished, from upgrading parts like the radiator to changing the colour, it never really finishes in the car world!

In the past year along with the help of my dad and brother as well as some amazing teams (tarmacsportz, Torqen, stanceparts, Driftworks, AGM accident repair centre, Gillard motors, LiquidskinZ, ExclusiveJDM) I have been able to build my dream car. Right from the start, I knew I wanted to modify it in a way that kept the natural beauty of the 350z but also added a little bit more. It’s one of those that’s OEM+ and the more you look at it the more you discover and find more mods from the nismo N1 body kit and upgraded exhaust system down to the colour coded bolts and in focus koi fish gaiter cover. I am very proud of what I have achieved over the past year and am looking forward to continuing to enjoy the beast.
