2014 Audi Allroad Premium Plus

I am from Chicago, IL. I work for a transportation company and we transport anything and everything from boats to campers, to fleet and commercial vehicles. Of course, my favourite is all the cool cars we get to transport. I have 2 two Instagrams, one is my personal account @mkass21 and the other is for my car, @b8.5_allroad.

Growing up, I really wasn’t influenced by anyone. I just loved playing with hot wheels, barbie cars, and anything car-related. I was always into racing and driving cars and loved car games like Need For Speed, Forza, and The Simpsons Road Rage to name a few. I currently drive a 2014 Audi Allroad Premium Plus. I love German cars, especially if it’s a wagon.

My significant other came across the Allroad I currently own and I fell in love. I wasted no time trading in my 6-speed MK6 GLI for this gem. I instantly became ecstatic with the thought of how it would look modified. It feels amazing driving my car. Just a few modifications to the appearance and a few bolt-ons for a significant bump in performance changes the entire car.

Having other people and enthusiasts recognize my car and compliment it make me feel rewarded and extremely happy. Where I’m from you don’t see many of these cars, especially modified ones, or even modified wagons in general. When looking at buying a car like this, you have to make sure it has all the options you want. There are multiple trim levels that offer many different options and equipment. As with buying any used car, I'd highly suggest getting it looked at by a specialist before buying if possible.

German cars are notorious for having much higher maintenance costs so it’s recommended to get the car inspected before diving in blind. You need lots of speciality tools to work on this car and german cars, but otherwise, almost all repairs are DIY friendly. When it comes down to it, it’s a great car all around. Reliable, safe, spacious, comfortable, and just an absolute blast to drive.

As far as what's done to the car, it has a few suspension upgrades and power upgrades which are as follows:

  • CTS Turbo Intake and Turbo Muffler Delete,
  • Integrated Engineering Catted Downpipe,
  • Integrated Engineering Stage 2 Software,
  • Vogtland Coilovers,
  • Avant-Garde M50R in 19x9.5 +25 wrapped in 255/35 Yokohama Summer Tires.

All the work was done by my significant other @avant_lyfee, but I did my best to help where I could. Hopefully, sometime in the future, I could upgrade to a larger turbo, air suspension, multi-piece wheels, and a couple of exterior modifications. As of right now, I do not belong to any car groups, but I try to go to shows and meets whenever I can.

Since the day I got my drivers license and did the few modifications I could to my first car and comparing it to what I have now shown how much I’ve changed and grown within the car community due to the fact that it changed my outlook on cars entirely. Through the people I’ve met, cars I’ve driven and been around, and the events I’ve gone to make me appreciate all the unique builds out there. One of my favourite milestones has to be learning to drive manuals in my significant other's 400HP STI. Extremely exciting, but terrifying at the same time!

I would say my taste in cars has dramatically changed as well, but one of the many cars I truly can say would be my dream car would be an Audi RS6 Avant. Who wouldn’t want a twin-turbo V8 600HP wagon?
