Porsche Passion: A Journey to the 993 RWB

I’m Dan, but most people know me as Birk. I’m a classic Porsche connoisseur, and about five years ago, I took the plunge into Porsche ownership. Fast forward to today, and I’m the proud owner of my very own RWB 993 — a car that embodies my lifelong dream.

Growing up, my granddad’s vast collection of toy cars ignited my fascination with automobiles. I remember staring at those miniatures, dreaming of owning something extraordinary one day. He even got me an RC monster truck—a Big Foot, to be exact—which I drove around with endless excitement. Little did I know, those early sparks of enthusiasm would one day lead to a life immersed in Porsche culture.

What RWB Means to Me

For me, Porsche's life is a way of life, and RWB (Rauh Welt Begriff) takes it to the next level. Translated, Rauh Welt Begriff means "Rough World," and it’s a name that fits perfectly. Akira Nakai, the genius behind RWB, created these wide-body kits to accommodate wider wheels for maximum grip on track days. It’s raw, it’s rebellious, and it’s utterly captivating.

Owning an RWB feels like being part of an extended family. It’s not just about the car—it’s about the community, the camaraderie, and the shared passion for pushing boundaries. I’m already planning my next RWB build for 2025, so keep an eye on my socials for updates.

And let’s be honest: this car turns heads everywhere. It’s the kind of machine that makes the girls wink and the guys… well, let’s just say jaws drop.

What Makes This Build Special

Other than the unmistakable wide-body kit and those massive gold rims, my RWB 993 is static—and barely fits on the road! Multi-storey car parks are a challenge, and speed bumps are… let’s just say, interesting. Despite these quirks, the car has racked up some impressive accolades, including a “Best in Show” award and recognition as a Chip Foose Top Car.

Porsche 911 993 RWB: The Work Behind the Build

Building this car was a labour of love. I worked closely with Akira Nakai himself, and I can’t thank him enough for his expertise. Huge shoutout to Febi Bilstein and Sam’s Detailing for providing top-notch products that helped bring this vision to life.

Future Plans

This car will be sold soon, but my next project is already taking shape in my mind. I’m torn between running a twin-turbo setup or opting for a supercharger. Either way, it’s going to be another showstopper. Stay tuned!

Life in the Car Scene

What do I get from the car scene? It’s more than just cars—it’s about building something uniquely mine and sharing it with like-minded people. The energy at car shows is unparalleled, and the connections I’ve made through this community are priceless.

Dream Cars

If money were no object, I’d own a Ferrari F40 or a Porsche 917. These cars have been on my dream list for as long as I can remember. Realistically, they’ll probably remain dreams, but who knows? Maybe one day I’ll build a kit car version of the 917.

Shoutouts

  • Tarox: For the exceptional brakes.

  • Bilstein: For the flawless suspension setup.

  • Nankang: For tyres that deliver both performance and style.

  • 6AD: For custom wheels that make this build truly stand out.

  • Topgear Performance: For an exhaust system that sounds as good as it looks.
