My Automotive Journey

As an avid car enthusiast with a deep passion for custom and wide-body cars, Arthur's automotive journey has been nothing short of exhilarating. Currently, he owns a stunning RWB 964 named Kamiwaza and a Pandem R32 GTR. Soon, he will be collaborating with the renowned Akira Nakai to build a Porsche RWB 993. This exciting build will take place right here in Naples, Florida, at the world-famous Craft Sport JDM showroom on June 10-11.

The Inspiration Behind My Passion

What truly sparked Arthur's love for cars were the influences of his father and uncle, both of whom are avid car collectors. Their enthusiasm for classic cars ignited his interest in the world of Porsches, leading me to discover the RWB (Rauh-Welt Begriff) community through a few friends. Over the years, Arthur had the pleasure of meeting Brent Cheney, another passionate RWB owner. Brent introduced me to Toshi Ichiraku, the International Director of RWB, which ultimately led me to purchase one of Toshi’s personal RWBs, the Kamiwaza.

The Transformation of Kamiwaza

After receiving the car from Japan, Arthur embarked on an extensive restoration journey. He had the engine completely rebuilt, and the majority of all mechanical parts replaced. Today, the car is nearly new mechanically, offering both reliability and performance. Additionally, he focused on enhancing the interior, working closely with a local friend who expertly recovered the seats, bringing a fresh touch to the cabin.

The Upcoming RWB 993 Build

Arthur's excitement doesn't stop there. He has a Porsche 993 set to be built on June 10 and 11 by Akira Nakai himself, right here in Naples, Florida, hosted by Craft Sport JDM. This build will feature the iconic wide-body kit that RWB is famous for, and he can hardly wait to see it come to life.

The Joy of Driving an RWB

Driving an RWB is a unique experience that is truly one of a kind. Arthur previously owned a GT3 RS, which was undoubtedly a fantastic car, but it pales in comparison to the sheer joy of driving an RWB. While the RWB may not have all the modern luxuries, it possesses a soul that makes every drive an unforgettable adventure.

A Memorable Experience in Japan

In January, Arthur had the incredible opportunity to visit Japan and spend time at Akira Nakai’s headquarters. Watching him work was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, allowing him to witness the rich history and craftsmanship that goes into each RWB creation. Being surrounded by such passion and dedication was truly inspiring.
