Ryan Wolf - 2019 Ford F150 4X4

When All my friends got excited over exotics, I was the one who broke my neck over a regular cab short bed (RCSB) pick up! I've owned many myself. A shortlist to start would be a few small block S10s, LSx S10s, a true B4U SS S10, an SRT10 Viper Truck, & of course the latest  Ford F150

Performance Stats.

Best of 10.33 @ 138mph

Just an average blue-collar construction worker. Although my home is in the Richmond, Virginia area, I am currently travelling the Country as an IBEW electrician. Street trucks have been a passion of mine ever since I could remember.

When All my friends got excited over exotics, I was the one who broke my neck over a regular cab short bed (RCSB) pick up! I've owned many myself. A shortlist to start would be a few small block S10s, LSx S10s, a true B4U SS S10, an SRT10 Viper Truck, & of course the latest  Ford F150... aka SmurfTruck! If I can think back to what really started the passion for these trucks, I’d have to say it was the original  Fast and The Furious.  It would have been the red 2nd Gen Ford Lightning That Paul Walker drove as the "parts truck".

Growing up I couldn't afford a nice truck myself. I was lucky enough to have a roommate in my earlier days who owned a 2nd Gen Lightning as well as a best friend who would occasionally let me drive his SRT10 Viper Truck. Today I'm proud to Drive a 1000 HP four-wheel-drive street truck of my own! The truck's story can be seen on YouTube at YouTube.com/TEAMWOLFDADDY.

The 2019 Ford F150 has been named the SmurfTruck. The name was given to the truck by myself after I replaced my 2004 SRT10 Viper Truck and exited the Viper community. The community thought I was insane to make this decision and was quick to insult my decision & the new Ford truck. After several insulting remarks about how the truck looked like an ugly Smurf, I knew the New Ford would be what is now The SmurfTruck. It's powered by factory sealed Gen 3 coyote 5.0L. Originally purchased from Lebanon Ford out of Ohio as a dealer built 775hp, boosted from a Gen 3 Whipple Supercharger.

The truck was quickly taken to VasFab in Houston for major suspension upgrades. Once it returned back home in Virginia,  we switched over to E85, up the boost a bit, and had it tuned. After enjoying this set-up for 2 years, we recently shipped the SmurfTruck back to Houston, Texas to Manuel Gomez at Midnight Performance for a brand new build with some serious upgrades including but not limited to; RPG Level 3 sleeved Longblock with Frankenstein heads & billet intake, twin Precision turbos, & Midnight Performance Transmission.

Why this truck? Well, the rule of thumb is that 4X4s are supposed to be lifted and 2WD should be lowered. What better than a 4wd street truck making over 1000 HP? For me, a vehicle is meant to be driven and street-friendly. I will never own a "trailer queen"! I knew I wanted a 10-second street truck that could actually back its times up in Mexico! The easiest way to accomplish that was going to be 4wd.

Traction and power are the names of the game. The coyote engine was more than capable of making the power goal with the help of some source of boost and E85. At the time, the Ford was the lightest production truck offered with its aluminium body and the 10-speed transmission seemed to be the most forgiving when it came to streetability. With the 3rd overdrive, we can cruise a 1000 HP truck 80mph at 1600 RPMs and still get 21 mpg.
