I'm 38 and from Buffalo, NY. I’m a parts counterperson at a local Ford Dealer. At a very early age, I was heavily into cars to the point where I would draw and make up my own cars.

I had it set in my mind that I wanted to be a design engineer but that didn't come to fruition. In my early teen years, I was already working on cars and tearing old junkers apart that my uncle would bring. I would learn what makes cars tick. I studied automotive technology at South Technical Education Center which kickstarted my automotive career. I've owned and built too many cars to list, but my most recent is my 2011 Nissan Cube that we fondly nicknamed Miku.

Basically, when I first saw the car it was instant love despite the hate for that platform. I found it very interesting and quirky which drew me heavily to the z12 platform. When I first got the car there was a bet between my dad and me that I couldn't turn a car like this into a show car. Unfortunately, my dad passed away from Lung Cancer before I could begin working on the car, so I built the car in honor of him. I went as all out as I possibly could and to this day the car continues to evolve.

What would I say Makes my car unique, just look at it. How many people do you see building a Nissan Cube, very far and few will build on this platform? It is a VIP-inspired Cube, with full Air Ride Suspension and a VIP-style interior. The interior was made as a one-off by E3 Customs in Pompano Beach, Florida. It also has unique exterior pieces that are getting harder and harder to find. I have Forjworks eyelids, ATI pods grill, Kamanari Duckbill which adds to the unique look of my particular Cube, Airforce Suspension and Airlift V2 management helps dial in the fitment while sitting on some rare Linea Sport Crimson VIP wheels. Paintwork was done by Nickee’s Autobody in WPB, Florida. Although it is the factory color code it is modified with more flake and pearl.

Future Plans

I want to make a one-off mild turbo build with shaved painted and wire-tucked engine bay. I also want to do a one-off body kit to emphasize the VIP-inspired look. I also want to do more detailed work on the Cube, like chromed-out sub-frame and control arms, and chrome work in the engine bay. I also want to do a Big Brake Kit conversion to eliminate the rear drum set-up. There's more but this is what I'm focusing on for now.

Shout-Outs

I would like to shout out @boxed_lifestyle, @e3customs, @fortunemindsgarage @sleepless_car_culture, and my dad Javier Torres for being my inspiration.
