Performance Stats: OVER 9000

Hi everyone, my name's Chris Anderson, and I hail from Biloxi, Mississippi.  Since I can remember, anything with a high-octane rush has captivated me. But JDM cars hold a special place in my heart – their design language just resonates with me. In my younger days, drifting was my obsession. However, after giving it a shot myself, the constant drain on tyres and parts became a reality check. So, I shifted gears (pun intended) towards drag and roll racing.  Honestly, while my car is more set up for drag racing, there's something about the thrill of roll racing that I find particularly exhilarating.  For all the rotary purists out there who might scoff at the LS swap, fear not – I have another RX7 that's staying true to its rotary roots!

From Drifting Dreams to Building a Beast

Looking back, I think car culture for people of my generation was heavily influenced by the "care wise" trend.  Admittedly, I was always drawn to it, but the release of the first Fast & Furious movie undeniably fueled the passion for many of us.  Classic car enthusiast video games like Gran Turismo, Initial D, and Tokyo Xtreme Racer further stoked the flames.

The Undeniable Influence of Car Culture

The Mazda RX7 has always held a special place in my heart.  Back in the day, my ultimate dream car was an FD RX7.  However, as a cash-strapped high schooler, it was just out of reach.  Then, I stumbled upon a great deal on an FC RX7, and I've been hooked ever since.  There's a certain charm in the simplicity of 80s and 90s cars that I've come to truly appreciate.

The Allure of the RX7

There aren't many FC RX7s left on the road. Sadly, many rotary-powered cars get neglected due to engine failures. Owners park them, unable to find mechanics, and the cars deteriorate. What makes mine special? It retains its classic JDM look while boasting a heart-pounding LS1 swap! Unlike many LS-swapped cars that morph into dedicated drag or drift machines, mine stays true to its JDM roots.

The Masterminds Behind the Build:

While a lot of the initial work was a collaborative effort between friends and myself, Futral Motorsports stepped in for expert tuning.  Their owner, Allen, has earned my complete trust. Countless nitrous bottles have coursed through this engine, and Futral has kept it running strong - that's a testament to their expertise. Additionally, the technical support from Nitrous Outlet has been invaluable.  They've been a fantastic team to work with since day one.

This build exemplifies the importance of collaboration.  It's not just about the parts; it's about the skilled hands and expertise that bring a vision to life. Stay tuned for future articles where we'll delve deeper into specific aspects of this build and explore the world of modified car enthusiasts!

Future Plans for the Mazda RX7 Fc3s

Future plans include a built LS motor. Maybe even doing a pro-charger or turbo setup. Whatever I end up doing I have to retain the factory hood. Most faster Rx7s I see usually have a big cowl hood, I’m just not into that. I’d also like to get my wheels completely Redone or get some CCWs.

Shout Outs

Shout out to Nitrous Outlet they have been behind me for so long. Some of the best people out there in the automotive industry.  Www.nitrousoutlet.com, Josey at JK Opti for always making sure my paint and ceramic coating is top notch. I've had so many compliments on my 15-year-old Wyatt Webb paint job.  Also, all the friends that have helped me along the way. Sometimes what can be an overwhelming task just takes a few friends to help get it back right.

Dream Car

I've always been in love with the R34 GTR. They are such amazing machines. Way ahead of their time. Prices are just crazy on them. I need to hurry up and win the lottery.
