An Exhausting but Epic Finale to SEMA

What a week it’s been! The energy around SEMA has been non-stop, and while exhaustion was definitely setting in for vendors and attendees alike, the excitement and success made it all worth it. I finally got to catch up with a couple of the Stance Auto Magazine media team members, Marvin and Shanket. Both are laid-back guys with a passion for cars, and they’re bringing some incredible content to the upcoming SEMA Edition Magazine. It was great to connect and share in the thrill of this event.

Today felt different from the rest of the week. Being the final day of SEMA, it was open to the public, which meant huge crowds! Every car enthusiast had the chance to experience some of their dream builds up close. The excitement was palpable, with people who had been following these cars online finally getting to see them in person. From Gas Monkey’s six-wheeled Hummer to Han’s iconic 240Z and other Fast and Furious cars, it was a day that brought movie magic and automotive dreams together.

The Popular RaceWars Booth and Insights from the Owner

One of the most popular spots of the day was the RaceWars booth. For those who remember the original Fast and Furious movie, RaceWars has a special place in automotive culture. As one of our partners, we got the chance to chat with Jeff, the owner, about his experience at SEMA this year. Jeff was buzzing with excitement over the connections he’d made with industry giants like NHRA, Formula Drift, Borla, AMSOIL, SIM Expo, and many more. It’s clear that the future of RaceWars is looking bright.

When asked about the highlight of his week, Jeff said, “The fact that we had brands and industry leaders seeking us out for our input or help with their events was humbling and huge for us.” It was inspiring to see his hard work recognized by such high-caliber companies, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for the RaceWars team.

A Stunning Scion FRS at the HKI Air Booth

I also had the chance to connect with the team at the HKI Air booth. They were showcasing an absolutely gorgeous Scion FRS that had everyone’s heads turning. Painted in a color close to Tiffany blue and sporting a full Rocket Bunny kit, custom hood vents borrowed from a Miata, and a clean, sleek stance, this car was a work of art. The mod list on this beauty seemed endless, and it was easily one of the most memorable builds of the week.

The FRS owner, who also runs his own car detailing company, shared some behind-the-scenes details on the “SEMA Crunch”—the intense rush to get cars show-ready in time for the event. His story involved a surprise discovery of 17 mice living in the headliner while he was preparing the car. It’s tales like these that make SEMA more than just a car show; it’s about the grit, humor, and determination that go into making every build unforgettable.
