I got into cars at the age of 16 knowing I was able to own one in the near future. The idea of an adrenaline rush when the foot was flat and the freedom and idea to meet some new people.

Modifications came with my first car (A MINI One) when it was only aesthetics black alloys and interior mods like lights.

However, due to my love for minis, I decided I wanted a faster one in which I bought a half modified Cooper S running 190bhp at the time. This decision came due to knowing a lot about them and having a short wheelbase made my decision. Always had a love for classic Mini how small but yet nimble they are. I then decided I wanted to modify and generate more power for more of a thrill.

I am currently driving my R56 Cooper S Stage 2. The car runs 250bhp

Aesthetic mods:

  • Alloys deep-dish japrace
  • Wide arches sprayed to match the car
  • JCW kit all round
  • Genuine carbon fibre g-wing
  • Full gp2 diffuser
  • Aftermarket LED backlights
  • Rear seat deletes with mini logo on it.
  • Carbon fibre dials with red LED rather than orange lights
  • Wrapped carbon fibre dash panels and trine bits
  • Carbon hydro dipped wing mirrors.
  • Atomspeed bonnet scoop sprayed to match the car.
  • Black LED rear lights.

Performance:

  • Stage 2 map
  • TTV Organic 6 paddle helix clutch with single mass flywheel
  • Direnza downcat with full custom Italian exhaust system
  • Stage 2 Bigger intercooler
  • forge atmospheric blow off.
  • Aem forced air intake
  • Aem front strut brace
  • coilovers
  • coolerworx short-throw shifter
  • Rear strut brace
  • Recaro cs Sportster
  • OMP harnesses.
  • Forge silicone pipes.
  • Oil catch can
  • Ngk spark plugs
  • Brembo disc and pad.
  • Yokohamas all round

Naturally pops and bangs.

My car is nowhere near finished, I am aiming for 500bhp and make it full track then have a second daily car, but very undecided!

I have done quite a bit of work myself, however, I have had some work done for me and a little was completed by the previous owner. The only trick I have learned is to be patient and allow more time than anticipated.

Many friends have helped me out too. Days and many late nights to make it work.

You should give 'Young and Restless' a follow, they are a good bunch of people. Also, Mini Bitz has been great for a large supply of products for me too.

I occasionally go to car meets; however, I am trying to get the car to where I want it first.

I’ve only entered a few cover photo competitions with the MINI groups just for some fun and interest.

My absolute dream car would be an R34 GTR, Supra, or Classic MINI 1275 GT!
