I'm Shania, 24, from Oxford. I've loved cars ever since I was a little girl and always wanted a car that's special to me. Back in 2016, I had my first seizure at Santa Pod Raceway on June 12th, during PVS. I was diagnosed with epilepsy in November 2016. From then on, the seizures kept coming. Growing up with cars and helping my dad with them, I couldn't wait to drive! I was so excited to have my own modified car to drive around! Unfortunately, the seizures kept coming, and nobody knows what triggered them. Every time I have a seizure, I have to surrender my license for a full year, as I have no warnings before they happen.

Battling Epilepsy
The Diagnosis and Struggles
After years of fighting and finally, in July 2023, I managed to be seizure-free long enough to pass my driving test and get my license! It was the best day of my life. A very emotional day. Which turned into the worst day of my life a week later. I had another seizure... back to square one. And I've had a few since. My most recent and by far the worst was in March 2024 - I've got a cracking Harry Potter scar now, though! So, once again, I've had to surrender my license for another year, and different medications are being trialled. But back to the car!

The Car That Represents Her Journey
As I can't drive, it doesn't mean I can't love cars! With the help of some amazing friends, they gave the car a beautiful makeover, and I'm absolutely in love. Purple is the colour for epilepsy awareness, so it had to be done! And it looks incredible. There are barcodes to scan on the windows of the car which will direct people straight to the epilepsy donation page.
Inspirations
A Family Affair
My dad has to be my biggest inspiration! He works in roadside recovery and has been a massive petrolhead himself since he was a kid. Secretly, I think he wanted a son, but he had two daughters, so one of us had to become a petrolhead like him! He took me to car shows, car meets, etc. I've always admired and loved the Max Power cars. I love how different they are from everyone else! Every single one is unique, with stupidly big body kits, speakers bigger than your head, Lambo doors, big engines, and neons! I was born in 2000, so I wasn't around to see it all. But when I found out about them making Max Power shows again, I jumped out of my seat and went on the hunt to find one for sale!
The Unique Build
Modifications and Customizations
I've always been a Vauxhall girl at heart. Growing up around Vauxhalls, my dad has a Vectra VXR, and my mum has a Zafira GSI. We love them! I've always loved the Corsa B. They're small and tiny but were one of the most common cars to max power back then! They have so much potential! I've listed all the mods below, but I wanted the colour purple to spread awareness and raise money for the epilepsy society and for people with epilepsy. A lot of people don't know how many types of seizures and triggers there are. It's something close to my heart, so that's the only colour it could be.
Maxpower Vauxhall Corsa B Build List:

-
Wheels: Dezent 17" silver wheels.

Maxpower Vauxhall Corsa B: What Makes It Unique
In the Max Power scene, every car is different. No one copies each other. Compared to many show cars nowadays, you won't see something like mine very often. And you definitely won't see one identical to mine. I will bet on it. What makes my car unique is the reason it's been built and the reason it's purple—raising awareness and money for epilepsy. It's something close to my heart and many others.

Enhancing the Audio and Interior
The next big step is the audio built in the boot, featuring big speakers and possibly a TV. I also plan to refresh the interior with new seats and headlining.
