Who Is Rochelle Richmond — Builder, Mother, Mentor
Rochelle grew up in Washington State, wrench in hand, learning wood-shop and welding skills long before muscle cars became part of the picture. Summers spent in custom car and engine shops, plus a hands-on grandfather who stoked her early love for engines, laid the foundation.
That early exposure later led her to California, where she launched an automotive repair shop — eventually evolving into a heavy-duty repair company by 2015.
Today, she balances roles: business owner, community leader, photographer, mother of three — and builder. She doesn’t just fix cars. She creates them. Together with her kids, she helped craft a 12-second 1968 Plymouth Valiant from scratch. And her daily driver? A 2018 Dodge Charger Scat Pack she calls “Harley.”
Why “Harley” — The 2018 Charger Scat Pack as Daily, Canvas & Statement
When Rochelle needed a “mom car,” her criteria were simple: If it weren’t Mopar, it wasn’t happening; it had to have four doors for the kids; and it had to be fast.
The Charger Scat Pack checked all the boxes. But when life was dark, Harley became more than just a ride: it became a lifeline. A blank canvas. A declaration — functional, fierce, unapologetically herself.
As Rochelle puts it:
“Harley isn’t a theme car — it’s the car Harley Quinn would take out on a Saturday night.”
She didn’t want cookie-cutter. She refused flat color and stock behavior. Instead, she built a car that fits her life, not the scene’s checklist.
Build Overview – What Makes “Harley” Unique
Every inch of Harley carries Rochelle’s fingerprint. The goal wasn’t to copy — it was to set a tone. Expect details like vertical front and rear doors, carbon and Damascus accents, a custom three-tone interior she designed, and a lighting system that flips from subtle to show-ready on command.
It’s a four-door muscle sedan turned VIP-style show car — but still ready to haul kids, groceries, and run errands. That balance of intent and versatility is Harley’s core.

This build isn’t a solo act — it’s a collective expression of craftsmanship, vision, and trust.
Advice from Rochelle — Build for Yourself, Not Trends
Her message to other builders is simple:
- Learn your car’s drive modes so you get the best performance and everyday usability.
- Protect the engine — use a quality catch-can if you run performance breathing or tuning.
- Tighten the chassis with strut bars to reduce body roll and sharpen response.
- Build with intention. Don’t build just to build.
In her own words: build what represents you.
Culture, Community & Leadership — More Than Just Builds
Rochelle serves as President of the Elit3 Cliqu3 – Bay Area Chapter, a car club that places people first and cars second. The club spans all makes and models — because it’s about community, not exclusivity.
She is also a board member of Modified Chicks, an initiative empowering women to pick up tools, take space in the scene, and build boldly.
To Rochelle, the scene isn’t just about horsepower or looks — it’s about mentorship, inclusion, and legacy.
The SEMA Journey of “Harley” — From Concept to Spotlight
Rochelle first pitched a custom three-tone “Exotic Gator Skin” KATZKIN interior. Within a month, she was offered Featured Vehicle status. What began as a personal build turned into a professional debut.
She stripped Harley from active show duty at season’s end, cancelled commitments, and worked long days and nights to finish the build in time. The turnaround from interior install to SEMA approval? About one month.
To meet the deadline, she added:
- Custom audio & trunk build
- Damascus stripe package (STEK)
- Upgraded engine-bay pieces (Billet Technology)
- New Alpharex taillamp assembly
That hustle, sacrifice, and dedication turned “Harley” into a show-ready build — and an example for builders everywhere.
Where “Harley” Is Now — And What’s Next
“Harley” isn’t getting torn down or shelved. Rochelle is content with where she is.
Now, her focus shifts to “Ivy,” the family’s 1968 Plymouth Valiant, with dreams of seeing that classic under SEMA lights next.
Meanwhile, she continues as a Dodge Badassador — mentoring young builders, empowering women, and proving that you don’t have to pick between motherhood, business, and building cars.
Her dream car? A 1969 Dodge Charger.
Her mantra? “Aspire to Inspire.” And to “Inspire Creativity.”
Final Thoughts — More Than a Build, It’s a Statement
Rochelle Richmond’s “Harley” is more than a custom Charger. It’s proof that skill, vision, heart, and purpose can turn a daily driver into a rolling masterclass.
It’s a mother’s ride. A builder’s canvas. A community beacon. Built to be driven. Built to be different. Built to inspire.
