Three Cars in One: The Ultimate Do-Everything E46

Jonathan St Pierre from Quebec had a vision: build three cars in one—lapping, drift, and drag—while making it show-quality enough to compete at car shows. "We do a lot of shows in Quebec but also in the USA," Jonathan explains.

"Since I was a little boy, I dreamed of building my cars! I want to do the full project." His 2005 BMW 330ci E46 represents only 50% of the build he really wants—and it's already producing 825 horsepower with nitrous.

Why a BMW? Why LS Swap?

"Why a BMW? Because I never had a Euro project—I wanted to do something new!" Jonathan says. The combination of European chassis dynamics with American V8 power creates the perfect platform for his three-discipline approach.

"My car is unique because I've done a lot of things that nobody's done. I need a car to stand out in front of others. Like I got carbon seats, roll cage in progress, a lot of carbon everywhere, and the LS swap! Everything is custom."

The Three-Discipline Philosophy

Building a car that can excel at lapping, drifting, and drag racing while remaining show-quality requires careful balance. The stroked 6.8L LS3 provides the power for drag passes and the torque for drifting. The Pandem widebody, Whiteline sway bars, and Porsche 996 brakes handle track duty. The extensive carbon fiber work and Blue Murph wrap make it stand out at shows.

"Everything is custom," Jonathan emphasizes. From the ZF 5-speed transmission adaptation to the custom carbon interior pieces, this E46 is built to do it all without compromise.

Future Plans: Twin Turbo and Beyond

"Is a project really finished? Haha!" Jonathan laughs. "For real, the BMW I want to do twin turbo, tubular chassis, door and roof in full carbon."

The current 825 HP with nitrous is just the beginning. Twin turbos on the stroked 6.8L LS could push power well over 1,000 HP, while the tubular chassis and additional carbon fiber would further reduce weight and improve rigidity.

"My BMW is only 50% of the build that I really want!" That means what you see now—impressive as it is—represents half of Jonathan's ultimate vision.
